Hi from the hospital!
Back in, lucky escape from ICU this time :/ I was on the wrong dose of my combination inhaler anyway, so I'd been feeling off for a few weeks. Suddenly I woke up at about 2:00am on Monday morning with severe shortness of breath which soon, despite my best efforts with my relievers, turned into a complete

Nebuliser masks
I have an Omron C28p nebuliser. Only about £45 but so quick. 5 mins if just albut ordered new masks in the summer and went for some Philips Side Stream as they came in a multi pack. Oh my word they are so slow. It's definitely the container mechanism, not the tubing, as experimenting proved that. 30

Supporting Dad???
Hi, I'm looking for some advice and info. My Dad is 65 and for the last 3 years (at least) he has had Emphysema. He is a very private man and was once very fit and had a physical job so it's been difficult for him to accept. I would say he has advanced stages as he has been hospitalised recently with

Long winded. :(
Hya guys, Hit a bit of a lull, my dad has been using the bicap machine for a while now but recently been asking if he can leave it off (even though he knows how important it is for him) he needs it on a minimum of 6 hours and it's a push to try and keep him on it for that long. He's saying that he can't

Nebuliser
The neb will be delivered soon, and though I will be given a demonstration, as will hubby, I wondered how\when you use it? Is it for when you start to feel tight chested? Is it something you use just when you need it or regularly. We were advised by the COPD nurse that its for when things get bad, take

Another day in paradise
still in hospital after another attack over the weekend, its been less than a month since my last admission. Just questioning what will stop it now. There must be something to help. I do take a mix of vitamins and magnesium plus all my medication And try to be healthy. My consultant came to see me
