Everything about Prostate Cancer
The oncologist put him on a hormone therapy Casodex(
bicalutamide
) daily pill and every three month hormone therapy injection. The hope is to stop the spread or shrink the cancer. Also he gets a monthly IV infusion of Zometa to help with bone damage caused by cancer spread to bone.

PSMA PET Results post-Chemo and what to do next?
- He wants to start Casodex 50 mg (
Bicalutamide
) once a day, and if there is a rise in PSA/descrease of blood levels/pain he will then consider shifting to Zytiga. Mo's initial plan was to start Zytiga immediately, but now due to good response to chemo and a very low PSA, he wants to wait.

Prep’ing for Dr’s appointment!! Little Help Please!!
I opted for a regiment of 1month of
Bicalutamide
and 44 RT with 18mo Eligard. (
bicalutamide
was inadvertently refilled for 6mo’s(long story)) Treatment: *Last 3mo Eligard injection was Nov 9th 2018 (completing my 18mo treatment (20mo actually because of gaps while changing Dr’s)).

MONOTHERAPY FOR NEWLY DIAGNOSED PROSTATE CANCER
Since I'm only using casodex (
bicalutamide
, which blocks PCa cells from UTILIZING testosterone), not combined with a Testosterone (T) PRODUCTION blocker (T is grrrreat! for almost all other organs, esp. my BRAIN!), the next step could be blocking T production as well, which I remain loathe to do.

Been on ADT starting with
Bicalutamide
, then adding Lupron which dropped my PSA to 0.01. When it started to rise again I was given a choice between Xtandi and Zytega (from a truly awful oncologist, who gave no guidance, just told me to choose within 8 days -- he's long gone!).

Is BAT repeatable?
Patrick has argued that the earlier you start using the bipolar phenomenon the better) Anyway the
bicalutamide
failed at 12 months and I decided to go ahead despite strong contrary advice.

Update On My Metastatic Prostate Cancer
I started treatment with Lupron +
Bicalutamide
in November 2018. Since then my PSA has dropped sharply: February 28, 2019: 0.17, May 31, 2019: 0.10, and September 5, 2019: 0.07. When I saw my oncologist in June 2019, he mentioned holiday from ADT.

Hello to all from someone with RP, ADT, and IMRT
I was assigned to a radiation oncologist and received 6 weeks of ADT (Lupron and
bicalutamide
) prior to 40 radiation treatments. I opted to stay on ADT until April of 2018 as I found studies that showed slightly better outcomes with extended ADT.

Rising PSA after RP, how common is this?
My SO doc put me on ADT (
bicalutamide
). I also have a new bone scan, CAT scan and PSA test scheduled over the next few weeks and then an appointment with a radiology oncologist in early November. I’m not sure what to expect from from this point on. Any thoughts?
