Been prescribed levothyroxine 50mcg daily for hypothyroidism. Noticed that the leaflet for Fostair and Levothyroxine both show a possible warning for taking both of them together. The fostair leaflet says this... Medicines for treating Parkinsons disease (L-dopa), to treat an underactive thyroid gland

Will the need to clear my throat go?
She changed my preventer from Clenil Modulite to a MART inhaler, Fostair (
beclometasone
and
formoterol
). I used it last night and had an uninterrupted night's sleep. Hooray! The cough is also gone this morning, apart from a constant need to clear my throat.

Fostair/ coughing fit leads to closed airway.
I was placed on Fostair in the last fortnight and one unusual thing that happened a few days later was a vicious coughing fit out on the street. When the fit had emptied my lungs, the airway closed off and I couldn't breathe - very alarming. The GP said it was actually an asthma attack although the Fostair

How long have I got?
Hi, I was just diagnosed with COPD last month and have been trying to research the condition. My doctor was not helpful and just told me this was the result of my chest xray. I had to make an appointment for a spirometry test after research. I am still in shock and feel out of control. I am on beclometasone

Worsening Breathing Probs
I am currently on a beclomethasone inhaler for a couple of weeks, with a salbutamol one for 'just in case' as my GP thinks I may have asthma. I've had breathing issues on and off for a little under 2 months but over the past few weeks they've become progressively worse. It feels as if my diaphragm just

Dr prescribed dry powder inhaler and I bought a MDI inhaler
So, I got prescribed Fostair (
beclometasone
+
formoterol
) for asthma via dry powder inhaler (device name Nexthaler). Once in the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that Fostair 100mcg was available with two different devices: Nexthaler and MDI.

Has anybody fond Formoterol Oxis etc to be better with less reflux or indigestion?
I'm trying to find a reliever that is less of a problem for reflux and wondered how if anyone has has found formoterol to be better? I have tried the combination Seretide, Ventolin and Serevent and they all give me really bad reflux. I'm on a PPI etc but it only makes it just about bearable.

Beclometasone
Hi. I have recently started taking beclometasone. Am having terrible trouble sleeping. Is this a common side effect and will things improve as my body gets used to taking it.

An update from me
Hi Everyone, I saw a Rheumatologist yesterday as I’ve been having a flare up of symptoms recently as per my last post. I was a little worried as hadn’t seen this particular Dr before as mine was on leave. Lucky for me she was familiar with Bechets and had been on a talk on it the day before! She was

Struggling - any advice?
Hi all, I've had a constantly tight chest (to varying degrees) for six weeks now. I've been off work for most of that time and struggle with basic daily tasks. I'm due to see a specialist on 31 July so am hoping they have some answers but in the meantime I'm really struggling, especially at night, and

Do I even have asthma
Hi guys. I'm hoping to find someone with a similar experience to myself. I suffer with pretty bad allergies and take a lot of medication to manage this, including the use of Montelukast (Singulair) to control the allergic wheeze (asthma). As my allergies stand, all seems to be ok and well managed for

Your Meds (Strong Recommendation)
Hi I have a 'strong' recommendation for you, but first an explanation. In addition to reading the Patient Information Leaflet, I've now taken to checking the Drugs.com Website for each Med I'm prescribed. As you may know, Drug Interactions, Incorrect Drug Doses, Patient Drug Errors, Wrongly Prescribed

Several attacks..
I don’t understand why I keep having attacks, I’ve had 5 in the last three months, been upped on beclometasone then upped again to Fostair 100/6 to see how I am on that for now , testing antihistamines to see if dust mites are triggering it yet my peak flow is 350 or below most days which is my red zone

Different inhaler
So I’m gonna see my gp in about a weeks time about everything that’s been going on (see other posts) , should I be asking for a different inhaler ? I’m taking beclometasone 4 times a day, and it doesn’t seem to work for me; I was having real bad asthma symptoms about two months ago which is when I went

Help please advice for my horse's asthma
Hi all I hope nobody minds me joining this group on behalf of my horse who seems to have severe asthma. She seems to have allergic asthma with high eosinophils in her lung wash fluid, but I'm sure one of her main triggers is ozone pollution in the air. Throughout Autumn she had severe attacks lasting
