asthmatic response to new rug made in India
I bought a new, woollen rug shortly before Christmas 2023. It immediately caused me to go from being virtually free of asthma symptoms to being in need of steroid inhaler and frequent ventolin doses - I was very short of breath, my lungs were irritated and when exercising, swimming or walking, I’d

PAF from allergy/hay fever remedies?
I’ve had increasingly frequent episodes of PAF recently. Last year I went for over a year without any PAF before having an episode in December. I had another episode 3 months later in March of this year and now a third episode only 11 days later. I’m concerned that the condition is becoming more frequent

After recently being diagnosed with mild COPD, advice would be appreciated. I had struggled with my coughing and phleghm for the last 8 months, I am an ex smoker after quitting 17 years ago and had no issues up to that point. At the initial time they thought I may be asthamatic so for the last 8 months

PMDI to DPI
I've been on Ventolin (Salbutamol 100) and Becloforte/Clenil (Beclometasone Dip. 250) in a self managed plan for 31yrs and asthma nurse suggested changing to DPI Easyhalers as it's more environmentally friendly. These are Beclometasone 200 and Salbutamol 200. I have asked GP why Bec. is 200 and am told

Steroids & Purpura?
Hi there, I'm concerned about my forearms bruising when I lift or knock them, they look unsightly, I have had blood tests and gp said they came back OK. My bronchiectasis doctor says he thinks it may be caused by inhaled beclomethasone, and the nurse said it could be from antibiotics, it would be good

Any views on Trelogy Inhaler
Good morning I have seen some really good reviews on the inhaler Trimbow today but am reluctant to try it as whenever I have tried an inhaler with formoterol n it I have had problems. I would like to try Trelogy does anyone have any information on it and do you need to be at a certain stage in COPD

beclometasone dipropionate (Clipper®) - Any Experiences?
I've been prescribed this for 4 weeks but not familiar with the name on these forums. Supposed to be similar to Budesonide.

Why is my peak flow dropping & should I be worried?
Hi. I'm new here. The average peak flow for my age, height & gender should be around 400. Before lockdown, it was around 350 but has been dropping since an exacerbation in May. This morning, it was at 160. I'm not a smoker, but do have open gas fires, have just bought two air purifiers and exercise

Best Inhaler for Chronic Bronchitis
Hi all, Heading to the doctor this week, tried Brimica a few weeks back and we didn’t hit it off. The anxiety and tremors were off the chart. I’m considering asking for the Fostair small molecule inhaler as I have a slight asthma component. It also contains Beclomethasone which agrees with me. Pulmicort
