COPD - please, please help me.
I'm so sorry, it was only yesterday that I said I wouldn't post again for a while. And I feel that I must apologise, as I realise there are so many people much worse off than me, yet I can't stop crying. I can't get out of bed to face the day. Please forgive me for sounding so pathetic. I was recently

COPD - I promise this will be my last question for a while.
I promise this will be my last question for a while [!]. I was just wondering, as COPD is a progressive disease, how exercise [eg/ pulmonary rehab] can improve FEV1 values, therefore improve lung function, yet the condition will still get worse? Or does it mean that improving FEV1 values/lung function

Blood test timing when insulin dependent
I have been underactive ever since RAI over thirty years ago. Unfortunately, due to poor management of thyroxine dosage (consultant didn't know what he was doing and left me to GP) I gained a lot of weight which just wouldn't shift. So I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and was prescribed Metformin

COPD - yet another question from a newbie.
Hi Everyone.....yet another question. I'm so sorry to keep posting quite similar questions - I just want to get my head around this. I know that I need to ask my doctors these questions but I don't see my Respiratory Specialist for another 4 - 6 weeks. As I mentioned, my FEV1 was 50% - moderate. I've

Newly diagnosed COPD
Hello Again I'm so sorry for all of the questions - I was only told I had COPD last week. My FEV1 was only 50% on my last tests about 2 months ago, so they said I had moderate COPD. Made the mistake of researching this on google, then had severe anxiety attack, so called Nurse Helpline and a few other

Has anyone felt worse when first adding T3?
Hello All, I've recently added 5mcg T3. 6 weeks later I felt awful (exhausted, brain fog) and blood test confirmed my T4 had lowered so I increased my levo from 137.5 to 150 and kept the T3 at 5mcg. At the same time, I increased my estrogen, which I now know was a mistake to do at same time because

Why am I experiencing migraines, muscle twitching and generally feeling poo đź’©?!
Last year year this forum was incredibly helpful when I had a very scary patch of feeling dreadful. I nearly passed out in the middle of the night. Eventually I was diagnosed with vestibular migraine and haven’t felt myself since. I get some migraine symptoms like zig zagging in eye and tiredness but

Anxiety and panic attacks
Hello, I am a newbie... I have been SI every other day for 6 weeks. I had increased anxiety and a panic attack after my last couple of injections so have not injected for the past 2 weeks, but my anxiety/panic and trouble sleeping have continued. My doctor said he has never seen this in any of this

Low TSH & Low T4
Can anyone help please? I was recently on 75mcg T4 and 20mcg of T3 but still felt low energy, dry skin, hair falling out, low mood etc. Doctor did a TSH and T4 test and then phoned me to reduce my T4 to 50mcg. My TSH was 0.023 and my T4 was 8.2. The reduction of T4 meds made me very ill, I crashed

PV Iron deficiency and Endurance
I am 65, diagnosed with PV November 2023 (had pulmonary embolus). I am on Hydrea and all blood counts are now normal. My usual activity has included a lot of bicycling, often long hilly rides (50 miles or more) and multiple days in a row. I asked MD if there was anything that might make me feel more

Latest test results
My latest Thyroid results were: TSH 0.05, up from 0.0006; T3 3.2, down from 5.1; T4 8.1, down from 12.1 Not surprising, when you take into account that I was on 3.5 grains of NDT and this was replaced with just 100mcg Levothyroxine and 20mcg Liothyroxine. My dossages have been increased to 150mcg Levo

High Intrinsic Factor
Hello, I am new to the group and full of questions. My father had pernicious anemia so when I started feeling off after months of trying to figure out what was wrong...I had my labs drawn. My intrinsic factor was listed at 47.7. I can not find anything to indicate if this is what would be considered
