Is there any way of getting this changed, maybe to
Atrovent
which seems to work better (best of all is a combo but doubt they could do that)? I didn't really have a chance to explain about this in the appt and only saw the form once I'd left.

Side Effects
I know that
Atrovent
is non-steroidal, but it is possible that in its inhaled form it makes you gain weight? Also, is the amount of steroid in a Seretide 250 inhaler enough to make you gain weight? Or is it just oral steroids? Thanks in advance Emz x

Low morning peak flows
I use the usual meds - flixotide 250 - 4 x 2/day, serevent x 2/day, theophylline 400mg x 2/day and I am currently using nebs morning (necessary to recover) and night (in an attempt to prevent low peak flows on waking)- these ventoline 5mg or
atrovent
if ventoline does not work.

Saline Nebs
During my recent admission they used them regularly (as well as salbutamol and
atrovent
nebs) but haven't continued them or anything similar - I just wondered what their purpose was as it was never explained?

How much blue is TOO much?
Consequently I have the ventolin shakes (which are never good) and a racing heartbeat (again due to the ventolin), I am also using my
atrovent
inhaler. I know inhalers are safe to use a lot but how much ventolin is too much?

Steroid tablets
I'm already on 1mg/2ml pulmicort, salbutamol,
atrovent
nebules and singulair tablets. Does anyone know how long it takes for all your bodys systems to revert back to normal or if there are any tests which can be done to check?.

Rant!
I have now been put on longer-term pred than usual, an
atrovent
inhaler, and nebs at home for the first time. So: 1) What is the best neb for it's cost that is fairly portable, i.e. not huge and solely mains powered 2) Was the asthma nurse right in her assumptions that I was ok?
