Did I do right
I used 25 puffs of reliever and 4 puffs of
Atrovent
using the spacer throughout the day. NHS Direct said I definately needed an ambulance so they put me through to them. When the rapid responder and community responders attended they gave me oxygen which helped.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - Rapid Response Paramedic
My usual dose of
Atrovent
inhaler is 2 puffs 4 times a day when chest is bad, so I took it, which now means I have taken 6 lots of
Atrovent
today, fortunately this medication did eventually work for me, so it was asthma despite what the Paramedic said.

Have I really got asthma?
Ambulance paramedics checked me over and put me on a nebuliser with oxygen and both
atrovent
and salbutamol on the basis that they thought I was reacting badly to a severe chest infection of some sort.

Atrovent Nebules timings
Today i have been given
atrovent
nebs to take four times daily every six hours basically. What i was wondering was how people worked out the timings for them?

i am on 60mg of pred, 2 hourly salbutamol nebs,
atrovent
2 hourly and i have been like this for 7 days. do you think i need to go to hospital because i dont think there is much more that can be done. i am not needing intensive care or anything and although i am brittle i am not getting worse quickly.

Not Well :(
Anyway, I am on Prednisolone 30 mg maintenance dose,
Atrovent
inhaler 4 puffs twice a day, Salbutamol 4 puffs 4 times a day, Seretide 250 2 puffs four times a day and Singulair 10 mg nightly. My asthma is poorly controlled and my GP is arranging a loan of a home nebuliser.

Spiriva and Atrovent
Can anyone clarify whether or not you are able to take
atrovent
/ combivent nebs if you take Spiriva everyday? When I was in A&E and an inpatient on the ward I was given
atrovent
/ combivent nebs every 6 hours even though I was taking Spiriva in the morning.

Pred and Chickenpox
PS - All the other meds I'm on are Singulair 10mg, Cetrizine 10mg, Symbicort 100/6 two puffs twice daily, Ventolin and
Atrovent
. I've also already had chickenpox if that helps!
