She has prescribed him an
Atrovent
inhaler to use in addition to his other inhaler. Has anyone had any experience of using it in children? And have you found it useful in lifting the phlegm? Thanks! leixh x

Nebulisers - should I get one/how do Doctor's feel about having them at home?
My son is nearly 3 and started having wheezy attacks from about 8 months - very scary and worrying, but we handled it with Salbutmol inhaler and
Atrovent
inhaler when he needed it. Normally only every 5/6 weeks after a change in the weather, trip to London, pets etc.

Info over attacks
I'm having additional salbutamol/
atrovent
at lunchtime which helps but by the end of the day my back hurts at the top and I'm struggling to do more than one thing ie get breathless if I walk and talk. I come home crash out on the sofa until its time for my pulmicort neb.

Portable nebuliser
Does anyone use the Omron microair NE-22 (think this is right) to neb pulmicort and salbutamol/
atrovent
? This looked great as it can be run off AA batteries. I phoned Omron who said it should be OK but the steroid could cause the mesh to block faster.

Muscle cramp in legs and feet
I have been using Salbutamol and
Atrovent
nebs for a few days. Last night and today I have experienced the most painful cramps in my muscles (mostly legs and feet). The cramps are not easy to get rid off either. I am on all the usual meds I always take.

Coming off prednisolone??? (long)
Atm I am blowing between 310 (mornings) - 360 and need ventolin every 3-4 hrs, sometimes
atrovent
. So question- how do I get myself of prednisolone without my asthma worsening?? It's so frustrating, bit scary b/c I know if I catch a resp infection (= #1 major trigger) I'd be doomed.... Thanks.

Symbicort SMART, histamine challenge test, ethanol free atrovent
Question 3: Does anyone know if it's possible to get
atrovent
inhalers which do not contain an ethanol propellant? (I think the wine allergy has roots in an ethanol allergy, as I've been very ill after using Salamol. I respond well to
atrovent
nebs.) Phew. Question overload. Sorry! Cheers.
