It seems to me that most people here have had one or multiple Ablations of one type or another.
I have had PAF and Flutters now for over one year. I'm 71 years old and my Cardiologists have never recommended a CardioVersion or Ablation of any type here in the Toronto Canada region. The last time I met with my main Cardiologist he told me CardioVersion is next to useless and Ablations are not far

Vagus nerve article
Just read a good article about the vagus nerve. Look up Uplift Connection. 12 ways to stimulate the vagus nerve. The article is written so anyone can understand it. I believe I may repeat myself sometimes but I think CDreamer has posted some about the vagus nerve. She's a good researcher. The article

Hi I had my first ablation on November 5th in the Essex Cardiac Centre, after two failed cardioversions in 2019. The EP took me by surprise before the procedure by stating I was lucky to be having it, as it's not normally offered to patients over 70 (I am otherwise healthy 76) as the risks were higher

Will this tiredness ever go
I was diagnosed par AFib in April this year and given apixiban and Bisoprolol. After taking these I became quite weak and tired all the time. Eventually I felt as though I was going to faint and was taken back to hospital where I was told that it was the Bisoprolol doing it and to stop taking them.

Can’t remember if I’ve taken my beta blocker....advice welcome
Hi, I’m 45 and I have P-Afib. Only two episodes from caffeine in 18 months. I take a low dose (2.5mg) of Bisoprolol each morning. I cannot remember if I took my early morning dose this morning when I got up to go to the toilet. It’s making me anxious because I’m afraid a missed dose will cause an attack

Diuretics and Ibrutinib
Wondering if anyone is on diuretics and Ibrutinib, lasix, Aldactone, HTCZ, and your thoughts on this. Started diuretic for blood pressure, drinking 80 ounces of water a day, definitely flushing out cells, but not I am staying hydrated

Four Months on from Ablation #1
So my first ablation took place on the 10 of July and from the outset I suspected it would be at least a two part procedure. I am now booked in for a second procedure on the 20th of November. My arrhythmia now has a lot more in common with Atrial Flutter than "Normal " Afib. This means that it tends

Long term effects
Hi..i’ve Been on metoprolol for 30 some years..60 yrs old now. Tolerated well for blood pressure. Has anyone had or heard of long term effects of this drug. I’ve been having numbness in feet and sometimes my face...other areas of body intermittently. Just curious...poor circulation? Going for nerve

Morning after Orchiectomy...life in the slow lane.
Well, I had the orchiectomy surgery around 3 pm yesterday and left the hospital packed tightly down there....Got nervous about peeing...but it was a breeze (before I left). Was feeling some pretty decent weird pain....got home and made a quick dinner of thinly sliced prime rib in au jus with horseradish

AF and E Bike
I am posting this as it might help some off you who like me are still able and fortunate enough to exercise whilst in AF. My AF had been under control for around 13 years after an Ablation and staying on Flecainide. I had to come off Flecainide in April after discovering some Coronary Artery disease

Amiodarone and side effects
Hi everyone, I have just received a letter from my cardiologist saying that I am going to be put on Amiodarone to help keep me in rhythm after my cardioversion. After researching the drug I see it’s a black box drug with toxic nasty side effects. Is it ok for me to refuse to take it and ask for an
