That approach was successful and I have not had an arrhythmia since, ie, for 5 weeks (not a long time). Meanwhile, I scheduled an ablation for. 4 January. But now my cardiologists say I should probably cancel the ablation because it seems the meds are working.

Staysure/Avanti will not cover me until I have had my surgery( which I understand) but will not cover my arrhythmia as having a cholecystectomy invalidates it! However if I were having a hip replacement, ( for example) they would cover the arrhythmia!! 

Today I had my 3 month post ablation consultation with Dr Wright at Ross Hall. Apart from the first 10 days after the ablation I have been in constant AF. I feel fine apart from feeling a little more breathless than normal when walking briskly uphill. Before my ablation my AFib was progressing rapidly

Hi As you all know I had an an ablation on the 12th November for PAF I know I am in the blanking stage but have any of you gone in to tachycardia after having it done ? I saw my consultant last week and he said this can happen but has altered my medication since altering it I was doing really well

I have to be investigated further at arrhythmia clinic and quite possible have a second ablation.

No sign of arrhythmia but I am wondering why the bisoprolol is not keeping my pulse in check. I have tried to obey the rules about doing as little as possible but I'm not good at being inactive and anyway my pulse is still high even when resting. Any advice much appreciated.

Has anyone tried the above peppermint oil capsules for stomach cramps caused by diverticular disease please? I’m on daily flecainide and bisoprolol for my afib and don’t want to take anything that would rock the boat.

I was sent the TEVA brand of thyroxine last year after always having accord . I have read that TEVA has mannitol instead of lactose in the ingredients . Since taking TEVA I have had swollen wrists and strange bloating symptoms . I asked to go back on the accord brand and the symptoms seem to be subsiding

So I saw the Cardiologist EP on Friday for the first time. He was incredibly helpful and agreed I am getting a lot of ectopics PVC s I think. He said it is not AF as they are from a different part of the heart. They are however problematic as I’m getting so many of them. He has given me fleconaide
