Anaesthetic with Aortic Stenosis
Hi. I was diagnosed with moderate/severe AS last year. I now need a half-knee replacement revised into a full knee but the consensus appears to be not with AS, even though knees are usually done under spinal anaesthetic. Does anyone have experience of this or can advise? It could be years before I get

Confused
A heart murmur that does not cause you symptoms doesn't put you at high risk. " I have moderate-severe
aortic
stenosis
that will require a replacement valve. I am/was due a scan to assess for a TAVI so am I highest or higher risk??

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Type 2 Diabetes potential home remedy cure
Type 2 diabetes (also called diabetes mellitus) results from the perfect storm of not enough movement, too much of the wrong foods, emotional stress, lack of sleep, toxins, and genetics. More often than not, patients with type 2 diabetes look towards natural medicine in addition to their conventional

Does anyone have a diagnosis of aortic stenosis at the same time as pmr?
I was told about 8 years ago that my heart murmur suggested a problem with my Aorta. About 18 months ago an echocardiograph showed aorta not to be functioning well. I was to be monitored in the community and had another echo in March 2019. A second was done in October 2019. Despite 5 calls to doctors

Aortic Stenosis and Valve Replacement
Hi all, Just over three years ago I was diagnosed with a bicuspid
aortic
valve with
stenosis
in the mild to severe range and very slight regurgitation. I have been on 1.25mg Bisoprolol to reduce my blood pressure and to ease heart palpitations, and overall everything has been good.

Aortic Valve Replacement - 34 y/o Male. Rehab for sport
In January 2020 I presented with palpitations (and in hindsight shortness of breath and tiredness) and found out that I had a bicuspid valve and that I already had very severe
stenosis
and moderate regurgitation of the
aortic
valve. 9 days ago (21st Feb 2020) I had a valve replacement.

I've recently been told that I also have a bicuspid valve,

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and
