Yes, in my opinion you are a high risk patient but probably not on the government’s list of special conditions.

You don’t want to be putting yourself at risk so please keep social contact to a minimum and stay safely at home.

Take care!

I was told by work to self isolate for 2 weeks as I’m a senior health care assistant and I was thinking that it’s still going to be here after 2 weeks so what’s going to happen

I just had a phone call from my work place last week saying that I have to self isolate because I’m high risk due to my condition so I’m unsure if I am to return to work after the 2 weeks or am I being let go I don’t know

If you are working for the NHS I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Perhaps they could find work for you in a low risk area? If it’s private healthcare, they might not be as flexible however, Boris has a package in place for people like you where your employer would get financial assistance to keep you in employment even if you need to self isolate longer. The fact that your employer was responsible enough to tell you to self isolate for your own health, it seems unlikely that they would dismiss you.

Phone your boss and ask what you should do now and if need be, contact your local doctor proof of your condition and perhaps a certificate stating you are not able to work at this time.
