OT calcium in the LAD on PSMA scan.
I am 56 yo s/p RARP with negative margins 1/2014, now with BCR, PSA .21. My urologist recommended psma scan. The scan was normal except for “calcium vs stents in the LAD”, I don’t have stents. Have you all seen this? How commonly do these scans detect other diseases?

Pluvicto and babies in house
Has anyone had experience with pluvicto or other radiopharmaceuticals, with an infant in the household? My dad lives with us (including 3 month old) and is metastatic castration resistant. He has done 7 doses of docetaxel but last month his PSA increased again so I'm wondering and trying to prepare for

Robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - PSA confirms microscopy after surgery
PSA, 7 weeks after surgery, was 0.01 ug/L. Recall microscopy after surgery reported the tumour was no longer prostate confined with capsular penetration and extension into periprostatic fat. Tumour extended very close to the posterior surgical margin but in none of the sections did it reach this margin

PSA stabilizing to 99.30 (from 3103), should we seek additional treatment or wait?
Hello everyone and thank you for this wonderful community for giving me so many resources. My dad was initially diagnosed at a very high PSA of 3103 and he is doing triplet therapy, he is about to take his fifth docetaxel chemo dose and it seems to have stabilized to 99.30. He has bone metastases since

Knee Surgery and Xtandi
Hello everyone, I am scheduled for Knee surgery soon because of an injury pre cancer. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist asked the question about taking Xtandi during surgery etc. My MO said to take it until the day before and then stop for like 2 weeks. Xtandi has driven my PSA to Undetectable

Study: Addition of Short-term ADT Fails to Improve Survival over Radiotherapy Alone for Intermediate-Risk PCa
This is a very interesting large-scale study but it is only one study. Here's the Scoop: "The addition of short-term androgen deprivation (STAD) to dose-escalated radiotherapy did not improve overall survival (OS) for patients with intermediate-risk prostate cancer, although the regimen did produce

Updated treatment plan for progressing MCRPC
I have started Xgeva and also was able to get a prescription for Estrogel Transdermal gel. Will start Xofigo Radium 223 that was approved last week. I am still taking abiraterone and dexamethasone and it is not working, PSA has been climbing. My Question is, should I switch the abiraterone for

another milestone
fifteen years ago today robotic surgery. Two years now on lupron PSA still undetectable. I feel very blessed to be feeling well. I do get some of the side effects but life is what it is so just deal with it the best you can. That’s how I feel. I don’t post much but I know there are some very smart people

Enzalutamide plus leuprolide reduces risk of metastasis in nonmetastatic HSPC men-from Urology Times, 29 Apr 2023
Findings from the phase 3 EMBARK trial showed that enzalutamide (Xtandi) plus leuprolide reduced the risk of metastasis or death by nearly 60% vs placebo plus leuprolide in patients with nonmetastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (nmHSPC) with high-risk biochemical recurrence (BCR).1,2 "The

April 2023 Update
My Oncologist stopped my Eligard injections in October 2022 at the end of 24 months of treatment. My PSA was <0.01 and my T was <0.02 in October 2022. I had blood tests in April 2023 (after 6 months) and my PSA was <0.01 and my T had risen to 4. My Oncologist wants PSA tests every six months and will

ART Effect Of Adjuvant And Salvage Radiotherapy After Radical Prostatectomy On Urinary Continence
Well, I am 'continent' according to the criteria in this study (a bit old, but not ancient)...of course continence here is defined as "no pads or one safety pad." OK. Now, I went into sRT with a safety pad and was warned by my RO that this had a chance of being 'locked in.' I proceeded anyway

Re: Taxotere chemo after post surgery IMRT
Has anyone received Taxotere chemotherapy after post surgery radiation? My son age 50 was diagnosed last summer with PC tertiary 5 pattern. First post surgery PSA was 20. PSMA pet showed some invasion to pelvic lymph nodes no where else. Put on Lupron , generic Zytiga and prednisone and given 6 weeks

When, or if at all, to add Nubeqa
RP in 2020 Gleason 7 (4+3) PSA 14 Been on Orgovyx for 6 months of an 18 month prescribe. Just finished 39 daily IMRT treatments. PSA remains <.05 Should I be thinking about adding Nubeqa or not? And if so, when?

My 5 Year Blood Test Results
Thanks to Professor Richard J. Wassersug PhD, I started applying estradiol gel (tE2) to lower my testosterone levels in an effort to suppress the proliferation of my PCa recurrence. It has been a miracle hormone for me with ONLY tiny boobs as a side effect, and I haven't seen a doctor in about 6 years

Is Bicalutamide needed after Orchiectomy
Hi, My 73 years old dad has been in remission since last summer. I would like some opinion on the current medication that his doctor has put him on. - Bicalutamide (50 mg): He has been taking this daily since June 2022. His doctor has told him that he might have to take it for two more years. Is this
