Life after leuprolide
We all know that delaying ADT as long as possible should be a goal and benefit for early detection for men. But with the US healthcare policy in place that is not the case for many of us here on HU as we have a late diagnosis with advanced or metastatic disease that puts on the fast track to BIG pharma

Slow PSA rise after RRP. Seeking advice for next steps. Dr seems in no hurry :-(
i have reached .032 five years after RP. Was <.006 for 2 years and then <.014 and then a slow steady climb to .032 My current Dr is saying do nothing until .2 but I am not all that comfortable with that approach. I left my surgeon whose practice is too busy and changed to someone who seems more solid

How did your Docetaxel rechallenge compare to your original chemo treatment?
Mr. Spouse 21 is starting a Docetaxel rechallenge next week--3 rounds then another PMSA-PET scan. If you did a Docetaxel rechallenge as well, can you compare your early experiences with the rechallenge in terms of side effects and effectiveness and where you are now? PSA rising
I had spot radiation in June for olio metastatic (2 spots), PSA was .036. In Aug PSA went down to .028. Now it’s .031. Does this mean the radiation of the 2 spots did not work? How long should I wait before ADT?

PSMA pet scan
Has anyone had a Pylarify (PSMA) pet scan showing no prostate cancer spread but knew that you had some metastasis in at least one lymph node (seen in an older scan and confirmed by biopsy). I know that there are people who are PSMA negative...not sure if my husband is one. He has had a prostatectomy,

PSA not covered by Medicare
Is it true Medicare only pays for one PSA per year? This is my first year, getting PSA every 3 months after radiation, kinda surprised to see they didn’t pay

ISOPSA TOTAL PSA TEST
what do people know about it? The lady who draws my blood at Quest ( whose own husband has PSA of 10) said it’s the hot new thing at Quest. They’ve only offered it for a month or two. Has done connections to Cleveland Clinic

Help: Use of ODM 208 during Phase 3 clinical trials to replace Docetaxel for treatment after Abiraterone - Case Peru
Hello, my father suffers from prostate cancer with bone metastasis. I wish I could bring only good news but: ONCT-534 trial discontinued
We can't always win! 😐 "In the current study, interim Phase 1 results of ONCT-534 did not show clinically meaningful improvements of disease, including prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, in the 20 patients treated in eight dosing cohorts with various doses and schedules of administration of ONCT

It keeps being promising, but keep an eye also on Pb 212, which on paper should be even better for prostate cancer. Sad & Scared
My husband began Docetaxel in July. At the time he PSA was 47. After treatments began his PSA progression was 47—32—18 We were so encouraged. After his 3rd Infusion today, his PSA went up to 19.2 I know it is only slight but yet not going downward. Does this mean he has potentially reached nadir

heading for salvage therapy
hello all. Well my last two ( three month) PSA tests were 0.10 and MO. And RO. Recommend somewhat early salvage radiation treatment. A question I would like some input on is should I look into proton therapy over IMRT. I would need to travel to Fred hutch or Salt Lake City as I live in Reno Nv. Just

If PSA rises when one is on ADT does it always mean resistance or can it be only a particular met growing ?
I see some posts here mention that some people had a psa rise and then got some met radiated and psa went down again. So one is on hormone therapy and psa rises , it does not necessarily mean one is getting castrate resistant ? Just trying to educate myself 😊
