Pacemaker and AV Node ablation? Mini-maze?
Having taken myself off of
Amiodarone
(200mg) and Bisoprolol (10mg) and Ramipril(5mg) back in the Spring of this year because they weren’t bringing my rate down below 120, I initiated lifestyle changes, increased supplements including high dose magnesium, focused on weight loss, and was feeling a whole

Coming off Amiodarone
In the paperwork for the op it says to stop taking
Amiodarone
3 weeks before the ablation. Has anyone had experience of stopping
Amiodarone
? Should it be done slowly? Thanks Paul

amiodarone side effects
Hi Has anyone had first hand experience of the side effects of this drug? I started it just over 2 weeks ago in preparation for another CV and to my total amazement I went back into NSR after the first week but I'm still taking the prescribed dose. My problem is that it seems to have made me really

After seeing a cardiologist I went to Bisoprolol which didn't work then sotalol and then finally
amiodarone
which did work. Last spring I had an ablation and stayed on the
amiodarone
. I was able to do everything but had to come off the
amiodarone
in August.

Cryoablation
I am still only 50 but I have had AF for 30 years and have been taking
Amiodarone
, as a last resort, for the last 2 years after a heart attack and stroke. The
Amiodarone
is very effective but I have problems with my thyroid, eyes, skin etc and so have to give it up.

First time Ablation
I am taking
Amiodarone
, Warfarin and Bisoprolol. It seems to me that Ablation is the obvious next step re my heart (I have no other heart problems) as quality of life could improve immensely. I was wondering if anyone on here is under the Heath in Cardiff and if so what the experience was like.

4 weeks post ablation
I was on
Amiodarone
but stopped it 3 weeks before the ablation and I'm now just on 2.5mg Bisoprolol. The recent posts have reinforced the EP's message that we can't make any judgements until 3 months. Here's hoping!

Headache for four days
He's been off
Amiodarone
for seven weeks. Since Friday he's had a really bad, crushing headache. I think it's a drug side effect, but both Bisoprolol and Apixaban have headaches as side effects so it's hard to know which one is causing it.

Sound of heart beating.
I am on 2mg warfarin, 5mg bisoporol, 200mg
Amiodarone
, 20mg frosamide, and 20mg autostatins and have recently cut back my bisoporol from 7.5mg to the 5mg dose after asking consultant due to tiredness and feeling light headed.

Cardioversion
I'm taking 2.5 mg Bisoprolol, 200mg
Amiodarone
twice a day ( was 3x, but next week it will be once a day) and Rivaroxaban 20mg. I just wonder - can anyone tell me how long it took them to feel 'normal' after a cardioversion? It is 10 days now and I still get so tired.

Living with rhythm changes.
Amiodarone
was suggested before my recent ablation but it is not something I wish to consider due to the side effects.

AFIB and Heart Failure
I was supposed to be on
Amiodarone
for four weeks prior to the cardioversion but I declined to have it because of its track record of causing fibrosis of the lungs, plus optical and many other irreversible medical problems.

So grateful!
On my last visit to them 18 months ago they changed my medication to
Amiodarone
which apparently has been around for years but you have to have regular blood tests as it can affect the liver. I am pleased to say I have not had an attack in the last 18 months!
