Alvesco

Is there anyone here that switch their inhaler from Fostair to Alvesco due to side effects or using alvesco in general? Could you please share your experience?

So my question is, Can i continue using Alvesco 160 - 1 puff/day and use 1 Puff of Fostair prior exercise instead of Salbutamol at least until Alvesco picks up and start working? I'm exercising 3 days a week. Also, to those who take Alvesco too - how long it took for you to start working?

Hi. the doctor changed my inhaler to Alvesco 160, one dose twice a day. Does anyone of you have experience with this inhaler? How long does it take for the inhaler to start working? And I wonder if this is a sufficient dose if I have severe asthma? Thank you for all your replies. Regards

My consultant put me on spiriva respimant, symbicort and Alvesco inhalers 2 puffs twice daily I'm also having to take hydrocortisone 20mg for the adrenal insufficiency since beginning on these along with an antibiotic 1 three times a week and montelukast I've not had any chest infections or asthma flair

My respiratory consultant has reduced me from 2 puffs twice a day of 160 Alvesco to 3 puffs once a day. Now I'm feeling unwell. Could the reduction in my inhaler be impacting my adrenal insuffiency?

I am on 320 of alvesco a day at present along with fostair mart taken with my trusty aero chamber. I was on 640 of alvesco, however for the first time I was starting to get some irritations from this, mild oral thrush, joint pain, weight gain and some odd eye issues.

I have just been moved to 640 of alvesco and 800 of fostair 100 a day by my consultant. What are the rules on dosages when combining different inhalers, can you just have the maximum dosage of each inhaler.

Story: I’m maintained on 1 or 2 puffs once a day of Alvesco 80, PF max 380 and very occasional use of Ventolin. I caught a cold virus about 12 days ago and despite maxing my Alvesco to 8 puffs a day and Ventolin 8 puffs my PF dropped to 290.

I was given Symbicort and Alvesco inhaler but did not help. So suffering for good 6months, I was referred to pulmonary dept and there I asked to get bronchoscopy. I was diagnose with eosinophils pneumonia and put on taking steroids - prednisone.

My consultant has just put Alvesco 160 into the mix twice a day. Any idea of what he is doing, apart from just increasing my steroid load.

I've recently got some Alvesco 160 which I'm looking to start soon in the hopes that it won't have this side effect. However, I'm wondering if maybe it could be to do with the other ingredients, namely the HFA and ethanol. Has anybody had this experience on either of these inhlaers, or others?

hi has anyone used a preventer inhaler called Alvesco is it any good. I have tried quite a few different inhalers recently a few of them have serevent in them that doesn’t suit me it tightens my chest immediately. Just looking for one that I haven’t tried.

Inhaled steroids help some - I started on Advair but have since switched to try Alvesco+Incruse (LAMA) since I'm a little concerned about the possibility of bronchiolitis.

Whilst any plain steroid inhaler may be used for this, a special shout out to alvesco. Alvesco can be hard to source, however it has been linked to helping patients get off of oral steroids, then they can then be weaned off of the alvesco!

P.S I take Spiriva, Flutiform, and Alvesco. I'm doubled up on inhalers and have been for 2 weeks.

If anyone has used Alvesco or knows someone who has, it would be so useful if they were kind enough to share their experience of the product with me.

Has anyone ever had to use an alternative to Alvesco 160?, Is there a suitable alternative?. I have had to call 6 different pharmacies today to try to obtain my Alvesco 160 . All have advised it is not in stock and it is coming up manufacturer problems. They are unable to obtain it.
