Alvesco 160 alternative

Has anyone ever had to use an alternative to Alvesco 160?, Is there a suitable alternative?. I have had to call 6 different pharmacies today to try to obtain my Alvesco 160 . All have advised it is not in stock and it is coming up manufacturer problems. They are unable to obtain it.

Alvesco and headaches

Does anyone get severe headaches when taking alvesco? I get lots of headaches 3-4 a week anyway, but the last week they are almost beyond what I can bare. I took ibuprofen and paracetamols which just about took the edge off, but ibuprofen isn’t good for my kidneys (also got chronic kidney failure).

So i had spirometry done which came back abnormal (consultant still hasn't said what the result actually was 🙄) and has now put me on alvesco. So i am now taking Fostair 200/6, alvesco and montelukast. Has anyone used alvesco and how did you get on with it?

Another heads up for Alvesco/ ciclesonide inhaler users

Hi there, Just saw my consultant at the RBH last week, he told me that Astra Zeneca is having another manufacturing problem with Alvesco. RBH pharmacy has v. Low stocks. I managed to refill my prescription. But all users should make sure they have a backup inhaler or get one on order. Cheers R x

Heads up for anyone using Alvesco / Ciclesonide as their ICS

Just to let everyone know, Astra Zeneca are having a manufacturing problem with this medicine at the moment. I had to scour the country to get two inhalers. I rang Astra Zeneca, and they said there was a problem with their "Manufacturing Process". But that there would be stocks available later this

Any advice?

Respiratory consultant changed inhaler to Alvesco 3 weeks ago in attempt to improve hoarseness. I’ve been really struggling this last week, any suggestions? Has anyone else found the last few days difficult for their asthma?

Alvesco with a spacer?

Is anyone using Alvesco and do you use it with a spacer? I've been on it for about a month now and it's working well but it does not fit n my spacer so I take it without. My only concern is thrush in my throats and mouth.

Eosinophyllic asthma

I have eosinophyllic asthma, I take Flutiform and Ciclesonide (ALvesco) twice a day. Every morning when I wake up, my throat and the roof of my mouth are very clogged up, - wondering if anyone has anything they take at night to help with this. Tried Montelukast but it disturbed my sleep.

Alvesco what are your experiences

I'm about a month in from switching from Seretide 250 x 4 a day to Alvesco 160 2 in the morning and Serevent 25 x 4 a day. I'm not sure that this combination is working for my asthma as well as seretide?

Digestive reflux issues caused by steroids

I now do not take Seretide as it makes my reflux worse I take Ciclisonide Alvesco with a releiver if I need it. For me I dont think I need a combination inhaler all the time just when Im ill I just need the steroid inhaler to keep inflamation down. The LABA definitely made my reflux worse.
