Two interesting articles
Here are links to two interesting articles. The first one details the benefits of exercise in preventing AF (it’s not clear if this applies to those who already have AF). The second-an older one which has been posted before but can probably stand repetition-details the negative effects of even small

Followup on friend I mentioned.
He just got biopsy back. Lotta 4+3. His wife however, is telling me the Doc is saying it's Stage 1., which is absurd unless I'm woefully ill-informed. There is a good chance of miscommunication here. They go back to Urologist Thursday, so perhaps I'm posting this prematurely. (I have their permission

How am I supposed to function on 50mcg levo (base dose) daily without a thyroid?
Hello all, last week GP reduced levo from 75/50mcg alternate days to 50mcg daily. It's only a small reduction but I am really feeling the impact over past couple of days. Lack of energy, sleeping during the day, can't think, etc. Feel tired upon waking. GP reduced levo because T4 was slightly over

Triple Therapy
I started with Lupron+Abiraterone + Docetaxel. As I mentioned before elevated liver enzymes caused MO to place me on an Abiraterone vacation after cycle 1 of Docetaxel. Docetaxel was reduced to 3/4 dosage. Yesterday, I received my 3rd cycle of 3/4 dosage of Docetaxel, my 3 month injection of Lupron

Levo side effects
so was on ndt for ages but felt it wasn’t working as well and swapped for my usual 100 levothyroxine but for over the past week I have been having a tight feeling in my throat. I stopped taking my thyroid meds and it subsided but it’s taking days to go away. Is this due to having too much T4 as I was

What are capsule shells made of?
A few months ago a post mentioned capsule shells. They said that there is an ingredient which is not allowed in the UK but is allowed abroad. I'm asking because my doctor recommended an NDT from Germany. I reacted badly to it and the only thing we could think of was that it might be caused by the

Happy Monday 😊
Good morning all, well after finally getting an appointment with the Chest clinic at the hospital, after my phoned appointment was cancelled four times. I got to see a specialist. I have had COPD for years now, taken lots of different inhalers. The specialist told me I have severe COPD, and told Trimbow

Just a little update - Cautious optimism...!
Hi all, Just wanted to update in case it's helpful for anyone. 4 weeks and 2 days ago I started taking 125mcg levo and 20mcg T3 a day, split as levo & 10mcg T3 in the morning and 10mcg T3 at 2:30/3ish. (I was previously taking 50mcg Levo/10mcg T3/60mg Erfa NDT.) Week 1: Fine - no real obvious difference

Atrial fibrillation effects on liver function
Can AFib detrimentally effect liver function? I’ve had two high blood results for Gamma-glutamyl transferase and Alanine aminotransferase both over 150, treble & double respectively from a blood test two weeks ago. I’ve not drunk any alcohol over that period the only thing that’s changed is getting

I think I’ve messed up!
Started to feel not so great. Was taking 2 grains of NDT and 25mcg T3( background RAI therapy around 10 yrs ago) I went to the doctors who took bloods. Results as detailed. I am not sure why my results are so low. I have been on the same dosage for a long time- blood results were always good! Has NDT

Does anyone know of a connection between undermedication and histamine intolerance, or if there are histamines in Armour thyroid?
My histamine intolerance symptoms have gone crazy of late, to the extent I've had to significantly change my diet. Histamine intolerance is something I have suffered with on and off for years, but nothing like it is now. I have 2 theories, namely one I am undermedicated or two Armour may be behind
