My Story
I was diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell
adenocarcinoma
of my lung in December of 2014 . The EGFR was exon 21, P.L 858R. I was diagnosed by going into cardiac tamponade with 870 ml of fluid. The fluid tested positive for the cancer and mutation.

Biopsy results through. Ct scan still not reported
It was quite hard to take as I'd come to terms with the initial diagnosis from the first scope, but sadly today the new pathology came back positive for poorly differentiated

BARRETT'S OESOPHAGUS -- how is the likelihood of it becoming malignant monitored?
Barrett's oesophagus (BE) is the only identifiable premalignant condition for oesophageal
adenocarcinoma
. Interventions are focused on reducing the risk of progressing from BE to oesophageal
adenocarcinoma
. A series of important changes have come about in the past few years in the field of BE.

Hi, I'm new to this! 😊
I had the top lobe of my left lung removed on June 16th this year due to
adenocarcinoma
. After 3 1/2 months my ribs are still sore & I cry so easily now. I'd just like to know if anyone else experienced this. Thanks so much! 😊

What is interesting about my case is that my youngest brother died from
Adenocarcinoma
of the Oesophagus at the age of 44- I have the Squamous variety which appears to be more slow growing.

Is the Subtype of Lung Cancer NSCLC important in establishing treatment options?
We are concerned about whether the NSCLC carcinoma subtype (e.g.
adenocarcinoma
/ squamous cell carcinoma) is important, as we were advised they didn't establish this from the biopsy results.

I was diagnosed August 2015 with stage iv,
adenocarcinoma
, egfr+, exon 19 deletion, with mets to both lungs and spine. I started with radiation to my largest lung tumor and Tarceva in September 2015. I later had a one time high dose radiation treatment to my spine.

Because my husband passed away 4 years after being diagnosed with Stage IV
adenocarcinoma
(lung cancer), I opted to have a CT scan of my lungs to make sure I didn't have any looming problems. It was discovered that I had mild emphysema.

She was diagnosed with stage 3B non-small cell
adenocarcinoma
in June of 2012, and her symptoms started with a dry cough. Since diagnosis, she's gone through IV and oral chemotherapy, as well as radiation. Shortly after her diagnosis, she looked for ways to get involved.
