Episodic Ataxia
Knowing there is no cure I have been prescribed
Acetazolamide
to try and help with the symptoms. Originally at Salford Manchester a locum neurologist diagnosed me with late onset cerebellar Ataxia and sent me home with no cure and discharged me.

Bit of a rant (sorry!)
Since then the hospital have been battling to keep the pressure down while the implant dissolves I had to be on
acetazolamide
tablets 4 times a day and two different types of drops numerous times a day.

Diamox/acetazolamide for migraines
I was wondering if anyone here has tried taking
acetazolamide
aka diamox for migraines? I was looking at a study where women who took between 125mg and 500mg found relief. A lot of people say it didn't help them, though.

Please help...
I am still on the following meds - steroids, omeprazole, ranitidine,
acetazolamide
, folic acid and now inject methotrexate 15mg once weekly. I have just had my 3rd course of rutiximab on Tuesday and have been bed bound since with extreme fatigue, blinding headaches and a sore throat and ears.

Daughter with unlabelled ataxia
She is now on a maximum dose of
acetazolamide
and for 2 weeks she had no episodes but she had an episode of ataxia today. Does anyone have a child with similar symptoms and no diagnosis? We just don't know what the future holds. Thanks everyone, Becs
