PROPAFENONE, anti arhythmia meds to counter the side effect of Acalabrutinib on the heart.
Has anyone been treated for arhythmia while being on Calquence -
Acalabrutinib
to avoid going to ER?

Faster heartbeat with acalabrutinib?
I started taking
Acalabrutinib
about 6 weeks ago. The last few days my heartbeat has kicked up a bit. Nothing extremely high just on the high end of resting, around 70 to 90 beats a minute. I used to be around 60.

Holding Acalabrutinib for procedures, etc.
I’ve been on
Acalabrutinib
for 3+ mos and doing ok (still with high WBCs and lymphs but they’re starting to come down.) Bruising is worsening recently and so is joint pain! I have arthritis in both hands/thumb joints (as do so many post menopausal women.)

VENOTOCLAX +
Because of afib due to Ibrutinib and
Acalabrutinib
and visits in ER, my oncologist is thinking of a combo of Venotoclax paired with another med. Is anyone here on this treatment?

anybody achieved good blood results with venclexta in 6 months and stopped treatment?
I was on
acalabrutinib
for 1,5 years, then dr switched me on venclexta. My blood results are completely normal for 3 months and I want to stop treatmentbecause of side effects. My next appointment with dr in august , I hope he will take me off the drug. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Acalabrutinib

I don’t know what to expect or do 🤦🏽♀️
I am 9 weeks on
Acalabrutinib
1/2 dose. My starting labs 4/17/23; Hgb 10.8, Plts 76,WBC 81 & ALC 78 & today 7/17/23; Hgb 11.2, Plts 72 (max 118 -> lowest 40), WBC 32 & ALC 30. So the Hgb is stable but not normal, WBC/Lymph are dropping like we want but what’s up with the Platelets Dropping???

sun sensitivity and acalabrutinib
Hi, I’m seeing my consultant tomorrow to choose between
acalabrutinib
and V and O as treatment options, which he suggests are likely to be equally effective. Other things being equal I would go for
acalabrutinib
as the gentler treatment option.

What next after Acalabrutinib
I am interested to learn what second line treatment options are available, in the UK or elsewhere, following
Acalabrutinib
as first line mono therapy. From CLL diagnosis and starting W&W in 2014 , I commenced
Acalabrutinib
in April 2021 following recovery from AIHA.

Oh Happy Days - New Oncologist🎉🎉🎉
She said 1/2 dose of
Acalabrutinib
was a very wise decision since my numbers dropped so low 76->50 Hgb 10.8->9.2 WBC 81->55. Well today My Plts 94 Hgb 11.1 WBC 61. She said we could see how things look in 2 weeks & if we decide to increase the dose then she’ll see me weekly.

CLL, Alcalabrutinib, Gout & Steroids
Hi I’ve Three years on
Acalabrutinib
, I’ve developed gout and had a few episodes, some are more severe than others. The doctor prescribed a course of steroids, Prednisolone , they took a bit of time to resolve the gout but the impact on my energy levels was awesome. I almost felt normal.

Bruising and rashes
I've been taking Calquence (
Acalabrutinib
) for CLL for 4 months now. So far few side effects apart from fatigue. I developed a kaleidoscope of bruises on my lower legs, accompanied by lumps, that have now faded, but with a few new ones reappearing.

It seems to make

Anyone experienced debilitating fatigue when going off Acalabrutinib?
After going to ER a couple of times because of hypertension, irregular heartbeats, and fast pulse, my oncologist recommended stopping the meds I had been taking for CLL, until he finds a more suitable treatment. Previously I was on Ibrutinib.

Hubby is in remission but still needs to take his A&V for an additional 8.5months.
His Dr stated that at a microscopic level there is CLL and by taking his
Acalabrutinib
and Venetoclax for the remaining cycles (8.5 months more) there will be absolutely no CLL in his bone marrow. He also stated he hopes that my hubby will be in a long and deeper remission.
