Side effects of Acalabrutanib
Hi I've recently been diagnosed with CLL (March) and chose to start chemo taking
Acalabrutinib
. After the initial few weeks of nausea things seemed to settle down. My glands went down and my energy levels improved.

As any one with CLL tried Adaptogenic's mushrooms for stress reduction?
I have been taking
Acalabrutinib
for one month and feel okay, but on edge and reactive to every little upset. Thanks for your input, my friends 🙏🏼

CD49d
It’s been said that “cd49d + makes it more difficult for ibrutinib to do its job,” would this apply to the (BTK) class of treatments (
acalabrutinib
, etc.)?

Declining antibody levels after one month: What now ?
My husband ( with CLL and on
acalabrutinib
) had his first 2 Moderna shots in Jan and Feb 2021 with no anti spike protein antibody detected. At the end of Sept 2021 he got a Moderna vaccine again as his 3rd dose. On Nov 3rd ,6 weeks later, his antibody level was measured to be 1450 U/ml.

Any Knowledge of CLL in the eyes?
They tell me that
acalabrutinib
, which I'll start next week, is sufficient treatment. From what I've read, I'm still uncomfortable with this advice. Does anyone have any information to pass along?

Hi, I am about to start treatment with
acalabrutinib
for my cll, I was originally told I would be treated with venetoclax and Obinutuzumab but I also receive treatment for my bladder cancer so my consultant said I wouldn’t be able to receive the v+o while also receiving the BCG for bladder cancer.

Pfizer vaccine response tests four months apart
I have CLL and I am taking
Acalabrutinib
. One month after my second Pfizer vaccine shot, on April 20th I had a blood test to see if I produced antibodies. The result was .48, negative. Last Friday, August 20th, I had another blood test prior to receiving the booster shot.

Have any of you changed from another BTK inhibitor to Zanubrutinib?
Due to daily headaches from
acalabrutinib
, I have just switched to Zanubrutinib. Has anybody else made this change? Did it go well? Anything unusual I should be aware of? The side effects look the same except for no mention of headaches with Zanubrutinib.

Alcohol and Acalabrutinib
Can anyone advise me if I must abstain completely whilst taking
Acalabrutinib
. Really it matters not, my health is more important than any amount of alcohol. I shall ask my health care team once my tablets arrive.

Acalabrutinib anniversary
Hi everyone never posted before, never really needed to, as practically all my questions have mostly been answered in the feeds. A big thank you to all for your contributions. I was lucky enough to be selected for an Alcalabrutinib trial last August, only one of two in our NHS area. No real side affects

Frontline treatment of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL/SLL) in 2021
Given high response rates with ibrutinib,
acalabrutinib
, and venetoclax, there is no one clearly superior strategy or one-size-fits-all approach.

Acalabrutinib - effects of temporarily not taking it
So, if you do have to stop
Acalabrutinib
for any reason, be aware of the knackering effect that might kick in but take comfort that it'll go away once
Acalabrutinib
restarted. That was my experience anyway, for what it's worth.
