Next Steps after Docetaxl
Reviewing the Peace trial, I don't necessarily see a benfit to the radiation and feel I should be advocating for
Abiraterone
instead. I'm open to thoughts/suggestions.

ADT Vacation
Today I received my final 3 mo Eligard injection and will no longer need to take the daily
abiraterone
acetate ( zytiga) and prednisone. I have a withdrawal schedule for the prednisone that I developed with my MO. My psa <0,01 and T < 1 ng/dl. Pretty good result I think.

Are all AR inhibitors the same?
Took
Abiraterone
(Zytiga); didn't work. Took docetaxel (Taxotere); worked for several months. Just finished 3 cycles of darolutamide (Nubeqa); PSA shot up from 33.6 to 50. MO now prescribes cabazitaxel (Jevtana). My question: Why not try enzalutamide first?

Ipatasertib+abiraterone effective in men with PTEN-loss
A large Phase 3 trial found that ipatasertib combined with
abiraterone
significantly increased radiographic progression-free survival by 2 months in men who were previously untreated, metastatic and castration-resistant with PTEN loss.

Latest PSA
I know a fast drop isn't always good news, but he started Casodex in December, Lupron (4 month) January, and
Abiraterone
March. So hoping a six month to 0.1 is actually good news. I'm happy for the time being. Should start Prostate Radiation soon, as his CT scan was June 25th.

Pain in the hip and knee, Low PSA
Been on ADT (
Abiraterone
+ Orgovyx) therapy since April 2021 and my PSA has been in a range ~ .3- .6 since then. Never had prostate removed as it had already metastesized. A few days ago started having pain in the hip and knee which is getting worse. Nothing helps alleviate the pain.

Advice needed on bone trauma
My skeleton is riddled with bone cancer, but since diagnosis December ’17 docetaxel,
abiraterone
and last Christmas, targeted radiotherapy on my prostate have kept things in check. However, two months ago I fell and badly bruised my left ribs, still twinging even now.

I am less concerned about whether it will help, more concerned if there might be any interactions with Firmagon
abiraterone
and prednesone. So far I have found nothing online.

It’s NOT neuroendocrine or small cell!!!
Jeff was put on the oral medication
Abiraterone
(Zytiga) and Prednisone. In lieu of killing the cancer, they plan on starving it. Jeff’s hemoglobin is still dropping and is currently at 7.4. We’re nearing transfusion levels again. Jeff has “medium” fluid retention in his legs/ankles/feet.

Repeat Please?
I am on firmagon,
abiraterone
and prednesone. My next shot is tomorrow. Today I feel great. I took my usual 3 mile bike ride to the mailbox.

Enzalutamide - Side Effects
He never had these side effects on other hormone blockade therapies over the years and on
Abiraterone
previously as well. Nervousness is listed as a common side effect with Enza. Does anybody have any insight into this? and any tips on how to mitigate it?

Bo says I am M1 CRPC (I am not really sure if this is really the case), and he suggested either
Abiraterone
, Enzalutamide, or Radium-233. Will also see Ohio State Dr. Min Yin July 21 to see what he thinks. Any thoughts? Thanks

What could cause this rash?
I doubled the dose of
abiraterone
to 1000-mg early Sunday morning and woke up to this on my right arm. Tap on photo to see full extent of the rash. Doubled prednisone to 5-mg. starting Sunday as well. By Monday it had spread to the left side of my face and the top of both legs.

Clinical Trials in France for Prostate Cancer
My husband has been on
Abiraterone
since December 2019, but his psa has been steadily rising over the past few months, with a quadrupling of the figures in the last 3 months.

Effect of ADT on Bicycling Speed and Power
Since I went on ADT (Orgovyx and
abiraterone
) my biking speed and power has substantially diminished. No surprise due to T=7. Hills I used to breeze right up are now challenging, and riding into any wind is very difficult.
