Hi all. I’ve been a member a while but had no results to look at as took endo on blind faith that everything was fine. Have asked about t3 twice now. I’m not losing any weight despite running. What's normal?
I first of all had an over-active thyroid following the birth of my son. Three years later I had RAI treatment and from then on I've been under-active, taking varying amounts of levothyroxine. I'm now wondering, which I haven't before, if my anxiety/panic attacks are related to levothyroxine. I've also

On Levo, 125mg daily for 1year, TSH and T4 normal now, but gained 13kgs. Was fat before, when hyper, so had RAI ablation. Help!
I had RAI treatment about 18 months ago. I was overweight, but clinically hyperthyroid and I felt crap. My dose of Levo has increased to 125mg daily, but I seem to be getting fatter with each increase. Endorse says my TSH and T4 are Normal. I asked for T3 to be measured, but endo says as my TSH is normal

Hi everyone. I have Graves’ disease since July 2014 but now in full antibody remission since November following treatment with Carbimazole, selenium, Vit D and gut health diet. I have now been diagnosed with DCIS on a large Area 10x3cm and it is high grade/aggressive. I have been told I need a mastectomy

Thyroid Blood Test Help Please
I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of hypothyroid symptoms for a while now and have had a bunch of bloods done in the past both privately and via GP.... Along with possible thyroid issues am also investigating low testosterone. I suspect I may have a problem with both. But as low T and hypothyroid

Iodine deficiency
I keep reading all over the web that iodine could actually treat thyroid problems has anyone had any success? And if so what ratio of iodine? Has anyone tried iodoral?

Iodine (Trust Me I’m a Doctor)
A recent Episode of ‘Trust Me I’m a Doctor’ revealed that Iodine is something many folk are deficient in. It mention some of the consequences of deficiency but, to my recollection, did not touch on Iodine’s importance to the immune system. (A significant area of interest for Asthmatics). Major dietary

Non-cyclical Breast Pain/ Mastalgia & Hypothyroidism: supplementing with Iodine, Progesterone, etc.
I’ve had a search through this forum and found a few posts regarding links between breast and thyroid issues. I take 75mcg T3 and 75mcg T4. You may remember my last blood tests (posted here late last year) which made my GP cross, as they showed I’d gone and self-medicated with T3 - despite him saying

Iodine
Just caught up with Trust me I’m a Doctor. (BBC). Interesting that we get Iodine (important for thyroid function) from milk, white fish and seaweed, yet the iodine from seaweed is absorbed much less. This means that those of us on a restricted dairy diet and don’t each much fish, are going to struggle

Can’t tolerate thyroid medications/hormone treatment
Hi. I’ve been hypothyroid for about 4 years. Over time I’ve developed a reaction to every thyroid medication there is. They give me various neuropathic or nerve side effects around my face and head. I developed the side effects slowly over time, and they’re becoming more and more pronounced to the point

How dangerous is this. Doctor suddenly told me to stop taking my high dose thyroid replacement after 30+ years.
Hello. I had graves disease 30 years ago. Was treated with radio active iodine. Was on thyroid replacement within a couple of month. Have been on 150 - 200 dose ever since and life has been good. With the exception of taking a pill everyday, I am normal. I loved last year to another area in Canada.

Blood results advice please
Hi I have been on Levothyroxine for many years after having radioactive iodine treatment. My current dose is 125mg per day. I have just got results of latest blood test which I requested as I’ve been feeling so exhausted plus other symptoms (dry skin, trouble sleeping, muscle pain, bad nails, etc)
