Hypothyroid with sore feet
I’m hypothyroid after RAI and during the last 18 months have developed an odd sensation in the metatarsals of both feet. They feel tight as if there’s a web pulling all the time, and are pretty uncomfortable with a burning tenderness. I’ve spoken with my Chiropedist who was baffled, trying to see my

ELEVATED LIVER ENZYMES AND TALK OF THYROIDECTOMY
Hi. Following my post about elevated liver enzymes on Saturday morning. My dr is asking me to do another blood test tomorrow (creatinine, electrolytes, TSH, T4 and T3 and full liver function testing). I will have stopped biotin for only 3 days when this test is done. If my liver enzymes are still elevated

Can you help me interpret my results...
Hi all, I'm fairly new to this forum, and to trying to interpret my results. A little background: diagnosed with Graves disease in early 20's, levels came back to normal using Block and Replace therapy (I think that's what its called). Fine for a few years and then Graves came back in in my mid-late

WILL T4 HELP ME?
Hi. Firstly thank you for reading. I am a Graves patient. What I would like to know is will a replacement therapy of levothyroxine help me? When my T4 gets low I feel very sad, depressed. My T4 to T3 ratio is high and what has been happening is my T4 gets to the bottom of the range and my T3 is still

TSI Results
High TSI usually means that the Graves Disease is surviving and thriving in us correct? Now with my thyroid that was ablated via RAI in Jan 2020 will these high antibodies attack something else in my system? Should I worry about TED? This disease has changed me mentally already never had constant nervousness

TSI information
Hello, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease end of 2019 and had RAI in Feb 2020! I just want more info on TSI results so with this value it means it’s surviving and thriving in my body! Now with high numbers like this I will be prone to get other diseases right? Is there anyway to get these numbers

Switch to Beovu?
I would like further information about the drug Beovu. I have had 20 plus injections of Eyelea over the past 2 years and after an initial improvement things have gone down hill. My sight has got worse despite the injections and I have various problems with my reaction to iodine and corneal abrasions

Help needed to understand blood results please
Hi All, I wrote a post several weeks ago with regards to being diagnosed with Graves' Disease 23 years ago and undergoing radioactive iodine 6 years later. I have been on 175mcg levothyroxine daily indefinitely since then but a year ago I was diagnosed with anaemia (reduced mean cell volume of red cells

Not Sure What I Should Do
I've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and I currently take Levothyroxine. Previously I took Levothyroxine and Levothyronine. My current Endocrinologist only believes in testing the Free T4 and the TSH. She won't take any other tests. The nurse from my GPs office looked for another Endocrinologist

Iodine and hypothyroidism
I am unsure about the link between hypothyroidism and iodine: I recently started a new product and I realised there is a lot of iodine in the product.

AMD in Merseyside / Bootle area
I’m thinking about moving from London to the Merseyside / Bootle area. I have treatment in my local London teaching hospital for AMD and corneal dystrophy, and I’m allergic to iodine. I’ve had so many injections to both eyes I’ve lost count, but it’s been approx. 5 years of treatment. It’s been difficult

A list of documents I have assembled which could be of interest or use to thyroid patients. Some document names have recently been changed (albeit just a single character in several cases). And others I have removed for various reasons. [i]

Should I try and get referred to add t3?
Hi. I have underactive thyroid resulting from RAI 15 years ago. I have never really felt myself since but I’ve always just put it down to getting older and being a tired Mum. Recently my depression, brain fog and fatigue have gotten worse and I’ve also started to get terrible bloating constantly (with

Raising awareness of Iodine Deficiency & Thyroid-related Issues
Years ago governments made the decision to add fluoride to our water and bromide to our flour (think bread). Both of these elements counter the Iodine in our systems. “Iodine deficiency is the leading cause of preventable mental and developmental disabilities world-wide" “Iodine deficiency has lead

Increased TSH
Hi, I just wondered if anyone had any advice. I’ve been having symptoms of a out of whack thyroid for a while now and have my bloods done every 6-8 weeks. My antibodies always come back negative and up until now my TSH has always been between 1.4-2.2. My white blood count seems to drop every so often

Anyone else get super itchy, highly sensitive fingertips?
This only started a few days ago but I’m wondering if it could be thyroid related. The tip of my finger is irritatingly super itchy. Like I want to constantly rub it against the sharp corner of my worktop. All the time. It’s also really sensitive. I had RAI treatment ages ago and paranoid about nerve

Iodine and sea salt
I see a Dr. David Brownstein an alternative doctor in Michigan. He has written eight books two of them are about Iodine and sea salt. He says Iodine and salt are very low in our diets. He recommends Lugol's Iodine (a prescription ) and a Celtic Sea Salt from a mine in Brittany France. The salt does
