Has anyone out there moved on from having Sweets Syndrome to treatment for myelodysplasia?

Has all come as a bit of a shock and because Sweets along with MDS is seemingly quite rare, there is little or no information on the internet that I have found.

I appreciate that everyone's cancer journey is different but if anyone has any links to good information I would be interested to know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Wellworth,

SS can develop secondary to MDS, but SS diagnosis will sometimes precede MDS diagnosis. Most patients with MDS don't develop SS

If you're looking for MDS support, MDS UK is a very good place to start.

Professor Ghulam Mufti and Dr. Austin Kulasekararaj are patrons for MDS UK. They're haematologists with experience of both SS and MDS. Prof Mufti has retired from Kings College Hospital, London, but Dr. Kulasekararaj continues to work there.
