Just in time for Autoinflammatory Awareness Month (August). 🔥🔥 🔥 The first reported case of subcutaneous Sweet's syndrome, otherwise known as Sweet's panniculitis, in a patient with Behcet's disease. Both are forms of neutrophilic dermatosis.

SS affects the upper layers of the skin. Subcutaneous SS is a variant of SS where the subcutaneous tissue, the fatty tissue under the two upper layers of the skin, becomes inflamed. In some people with subcutaneous SS, both the upper layers and fatty tissue are affected at the same time.

"SS might represent a marker for Behçet’s activity, as in the majority of reported cases it presents in the acute phase or prior to an exacerbation, which is correlated to the clinical evolution of our patient." sciencedirect.com/science/a...
