Hello. Has anyone else got a diagnosis of RAS as an adult (or never grown out of them since a diagnosis in childhood?) I'm freshly diagnosed and just wondered how many of us are out there.

Good Afternoon klaceyd,

Reflex Anoxic Seizures (RAS) is a term usually used by medical professionals for children. The condition in adults is normally referred to as Reflex Syncope or Vasovagal Syncope. heartrhythmalliance.org/sta...

There are a lot of adults out there that experience Reflex Syncope, we have patient stories on our website that may be interesting for you to read: heartrhythmalliance.org/sta...

As well as a patient booklet: api.heartrhythmalliance.org... with further information and advice regarding the condition.

If you have any questions about the condition, please feel free to contact our Patient Services team on 01789 867503 or email info@stars.org.uk

I hope this helps,

Katrina.
