Should I wear an elastic bandage

My arthritic knee is still so painful night and day. Does anyone know if wearing an elastic bandage will help with pain. I live on my own and I I can’t seem to put my mind to anything but this pain. I’m having X-ray tomorrow but I still won’t know what’s causing it until I see the doctor and what with this virus I’ve no idea when that’ll be.

Hi Purpleshoe, my husband wears an elastic support which we bought off Amazon. He also bought a magnetic foot support. Both work and are worth the money. Take care, Maximonkey

Thanks for that Maximonkey. I’ll try an elastic bandage then. If you have time can you please tell me what a magnetic foot support is and where I can buy one. I had my first X-ray today and will be told the results in a week or two. I don’t really know what to hope for as I’m scared about having to have a knee replacement.

Hi Purpleshoe, the exact one is no longer available on Amazon, however the following one is available, my hubby recommends them. "Plantar Fasciitis Foot Support Socks - Goosehill Compression Socks Foot Sleeves for Ankle Support, Aching Feet and Heel Pain Relief, for Both Left and Right Foot" you pay £7.79 for a pair. There is also a knee support which is light weight and doesn't look as if it would support your knee but it does, this one costs £12.99 "Ionocore® Knee Support Copper Sleeve - Compression Protection for Men & Women - Joint Pain Relief" . Hope this helps. Good luck and take care, Maximonkey

Hi again. I purchased a similar one on Amazon called Dr.Arthritis Ladies knee compression sleeve for the knee and that cost £12.95 it came today and it seems ok at the moment, it’s very lightweight and soft to wear and hopefully will help with the pain. Thanks again for the tip as I wouldn’t have known about these soft sleeves.
