I'm doing better but would like some ... - Scleroderma & Ray...
I'm doing better but would like some tips on what I can eat right before bedtime so I dont wake up at 3 am ans stay awake starving

Would cheese and biscuits help do you think? Something not acid nor spicy. But each one of us is different.
Mcvities (got to be McVities haha) rich tea biscuits usually sort this out for me !
I am from the United States what are tea biscuits?
"Rich Tea" is the name of some English biscuits (cookies). They are quite plain and a bit sweet. No idea if you can get them in USA.
I have indigestion problems as well. I know this sounds too simple, but a grated Apple right after your dinner will help your stomach to digest food quicker and the Pectin in it seems to help with Acid Reflux a lot. I've tried every medicine on the market I think, and an Apple is the only thing that really helps. I was prescribed Lansoprazole, it's a gastro-resistant medicine that lines your stomach before eating or taking other meds. This also helps a lot. Speak to your GP about it. You don't say why you have Acid Reflux. Hope this helps.
all the replies here are sensible ones which I adhere to myself. Not tried the apple but don't like them that much anyway. Rich Tea biscuits is a favourite of mine too just prior to bed. Not fatty and yet quite filling. They are made by McVities but store 'own brands ' can be available. I have also tried cornflakes with lots of milk. Toast with not too much butter. Rice pudding is a good one. I can also eat chocolate without a problem, but as said above, we are all a bit different with symptoms and food tolerances, so try different things. I take both Lansoprazole and cimetedine at bed time. And I also have a couple of Rennies to reach out for in the night .( I don't have to wake up now, my brain is on automatic pilot and I become a nocturnal robot who pops one into my mouth for me. lol. That's how it seems anyway.) Good luck. I can't sleep if I'm hungry either.
A couple of ginger biscuits with some drinking chocolate seems to see me through most nights, but I also take Ranitidine at night as well as good swig of Gaviscon.
Do you take omeprazole or any acid reducers? I take 40mg of omeprazole before bed to keep the acid down. A few saltine crackers before bed might help.
I take medicine for the GERD and still have to watch what I eat because my esophogus doesnt move food down. So it acts like a lifeless tube and food does come back up.
On occasion, I found that apples and pears were good to eat.
Also, get one of those wedges and put it under the head of the bed to keep your body slanted.
