OOO normally it's bilateral (both) and the colours are variations of cold and warmth re-entering the veins. Did a GP or Rheumatologist diagnose?

Hi bandofox. What was it you complained to your GP about regarding your hand?

I went to see my GP as my right hand is colder than my left and i have a numbness in the whole arm. my hand does go pale but not blue or red. This has been going on since before xmas. i then suffer paine in the hand and arm.

Probably 'not' Raynaud's as such, but I'd go with your doctor and just diagnose it as that for now as the symptoms seem to be quite similar.

You don't have to have a colour change and it doesn't necessarily need an external temperature trigger. But Raynaud's is often associated with blood not doing what it is supposed to be doing in the fingers (i.e warming them up). Numbness in fingertips/hand is often associated with Raynauds.

He's going to give you Nifedipene for it for now to try and figure out what is causing the numbness. Nifi is just something that opens up the blood vessels forcefully to allow the blood to circulate more effectively and to the outer extremities. If no change in symptoms in a month, then head back to the doc.

o.O well, true, it's very unlikely that you're gonna die from it.

If it's causing numbness in your whole arm and you're getting irritated by the fact that only one hand is realllly cold. That's basically when the Nifedipene should be starting.

Ask him if there's anything you can take to make it go away. ^-^

I work in the food industry with room temperatures around 4c. It is not easy to stay warm. i'm not convinced it is Raynaud's. it just doesn't feel right.
