A very brisk stroll along the Thames.....

Hi all,

As a Raynauds sufferer, I find running quite a challenge at the best of times, not just as an effort, but making sure I am warm as well. I have struggled getting out running this year as it was colder than last. That is about to change.

On a hopefully warm and sunny Saturday morning of the 24th August 2013, at the ungodly hour of 9am, I shall be dragging my 6’ 5” frame along the Thames Path from Kingston (in London), to Putney Bridge (also in London), and back, as I have entered myself in to this year’s Thames Meander Marathon 2013. It’s a crazy 26.2 miles that will take in stunning views of the Thames (and it’s flat as a pancake!).

I will be running it in support of the Raynaud's and Scleroderma Association, as sufferer and a member.

Please forward this to your friends, family and work colleagues as I hope to raise a target of £500, through JustGiving. My JustGiving page is justgiving.com/JohnnyRaynauds

Thank you, John

Well done John. I will be donating today and wish you all the best on Saturday. Hope it will be a pleasant day so you can all enjoy the scenery as you run for this cause.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I know this isn't really the place for posting donation blogs, but I did it more as an FYI. Thanks again.

I envy you the views but not so much the run(!) but have added my bit to your JustGiving as it is a great cause. As a fellow Raynauds and Sclero sufferer I wish you a suitably insulated run, stroll or walk. Hope you enjoy it. Go John!

I'm sure you'll have a good run in the sun - hopefully! I've added my support to your JustGiving page as a fellow sufferer of the Raynauds and Scleroderma club! Good luck.
