Does anyone know of a good drug to help alleviate the calcium buildup? I'm not counting on a cure all as my doctor knows of nothing., Thanks.
Hi everyone, First timer here. I hav... - Scleroderma & Ray...
Hi everyone, First timer here. I have CREST and a very difficult time with calcium in my fingers. Have had surgeries numerous times.
Dont think there is any medication you can take to stop the calcium deposits - I think surgery is the only way...
I have had Scleroderma for 36 years and I have never heard of any medications to take for calcium deposits. i have had many removed with surgery but no meidication. Sorry....
I am due to go into hospital in February to have surgery on two fingers, to remove calcium deposits and hopefully stop a two-year infected ulcer on one finger which refuses to heal. Did you find that the healing process after surgery was lengthy due to Raynauds circulation problems? I am not looking forward to it but am desperate after all this time. Thank you
I have started using PawPaw cream on my hands and feet as well as applying it to the calcinosis on my knee - Ive had amazing results in that I have fewer ulcers as well as it has healed some of the ulcers which have been causing me pain and severe discomfort for years ! The creme is only avail in Australia but can be ordered from the makeuwell.com.au website ! I have even posted photos of before and after using the creme on my knee on McArthurs Natural Products (thats who make the creme) facebook site - I hope you have the same fantastic results that i have had if you try it ! AND if you try it now, you may not have to have the surgery - some of the testimonies from other people who have tried it and then went on to cancel their scheduled surgical procedures are amazing !
I have always been very lucky after all of my hand surgeries. Never had a problem healing. I have also had all of my fingers operated on because they had constricted closed. They are now in a workable position. Pain was very minimal. they only thing was they left the stiches in longer than they would on a normal hand, the doctor wanted to make sure that they were completely healed and that there were no signs of infection. Good luck with your surgery..i will keep you in my prayers
Thanks for your answers. I wasn't expecting a solution just some support. I too have had numerous surgeries on my hands, but the calcium just keeps building. I will check out the Paw Paw creme and see what it does. Thanks!
