Hi - I've seen the Rheumatologist today and he can't understand why I have numbness and tingling in my fingers and tip of my nose ALL the time; I'm led to believe that normally the tingling/numbness usually only last as long as the white fingers are present. Can anyone shed any light on this problem?
Thanks

Hi there,
for me the numbness in my fingers is when my fingers are white and intense tingling happens when my fingers are blue/red.
really not sure why for you the numbness/tingling is all the time though-sounds horrible for you though, hope you get some answers and help very soon.
Hiya, I get a lot of numbness and tingling in my left hand and fingers. My consultant had me tested for Carpel Tunnel Syndrome but test was negative so he put it down to circulation (Dont think they really know what it is). However, I get this more when I am resting or in bed and this also effects my arm and have woken up with my arm and hand as dead as a door nail and had to shake to get feeling back - so I now use a hand splint when I am resting and go to bed to stop my wrist from bending and this seems to help.
I have been getting quite a bit of numbness and tingling in my hands lately. I often wake up with it - the other times I get it are when I am doing my eyebrows (!!) and when I have been sat still for a while. I always get it following an attack - usually at the blue/red stage when the blood is coming back. Before I was taking any medication my raynauds was affecting my tongue - it would go really numb from the tip back. Thankfully my medication seems to have knocked it on the head.
