Bell's Palsy, any links with connective tissue disease?

I have had secondary Raynauds, finger tendon issues/trigger finger, and random finger/thumb inflammation/swelling for the last 4-5 years.Things have been fairly settled recently, until suffering severe head/ear pain out of the blue 2 weeks ago, which was diagnosed as Bell's Palsy by an A&E doctor , one side of my face is completely paralysed, and I'm in quite a bit of pain.

This is apparently due to inflammation of a particular cranial nerve - I did wonder if there could be any link to auto immune disease, like Ssc or undifferentiated connective tissue disease?
