Hi, my friend has connective tissue and raynauds we think a she is also having occasional heart problems in terms of a racing heartbeat and problems breathing. Has anyone else experienced these linked conditions or know of anything that may help?

Connective tissue and heart problems
Does your friend have a rheumatologist to turn to?
Hi, yes she is seeing a specialist soon so it's in hand, they did lots of tests as they weren't sure if it was asthma, which it isn't and they've done lots of tests to see if there's damage on her heart or lungs, which thankfully there isn't so we're assuming it's raynauds and connective tissue so we re hoping now they no this, then they can find some new medication.
Hi, I had problems breathing at one stage,(I have Systemic Sclerosis) and I was sent for a full lung function test. Your friend should deffo see her GP/rheumatologist. Heart and lung problems can be quite common with these illness' x
I have Hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome ( a connective tissue disorder) and Raynauds too, although my Raynauds is mild-ish. The racing heart is something I also suffer from and is one of a number of symptoms of HEDS. Like the others I would recommend a referral to rheumatology.
It is right that all causes be eliminated before diagnosing a rare condition. I recognise all you mention but she should make sure.
Hi, yes thankyou. She is seeing someone on Jan 10th I think. Think we'll have to wait for then and I'll keep researching related conditions.
