Hi, I'm new to this and don't really speak up much, I have suffered with cold hands and feet since I was a teenager, Doctor confirmed Reynaud's at my appointment yesterday and has requested bloods next week, He discussed referring to Rheumatology but lead doctor said not yet. I've suffered with my bowels and pain for over 10 years and keep being told IBS. I am folate, vitamin D and a number of other deficiencies. I struggle with pain daily mostly in my pelvis shoulders and wrists along with the pain in my stomach its hell especially when I flare up with Reynaud's. I think I've scared myself looking on the internet as I've always suspected Reynaud's but wasn't aware Reynaud's was primary or secondary. Looking at Scleroderma a lot of my systems seem to fit this and although I have relief that I might find out what has been wrong with me for so long I'm also scared for the future, I have four children all with different needs my eldest being tested for endometriosis and my younger three having ASD/ADHD, I suppose what I'm asking is did everyone else feel the same, I haven't told family yet as I am waiting to be referred and find out exactly what it is before I do so I don't really have anyone to talk to. My feet are in constant pain with one of my toes sort of dipped in the tip and its so painful to put my toe down and effects me being able to walk. My legs have been swollen for over 10 years to the point I cant wear boots and socks make my circulation even worse because there always so tight. The doctor I saw yesterday was a young doctor and actually seemed concerned and though he cared but the senior doctor just seems to want to brush it off and leave me to struggle its effecting my job as I'm a hospitality auditor and spend a lot of time in kitchens and walk fridge freezers I just feel a bit lost and not really sure where to go next.

I wear infrared gloves and socks. Take baby aspirin (31mg)and use Nitro-Bid (nitro glycein) cream around ankles and on fingers where rings would be worn, it helps to open the blood vessels . I also work in a cold environment but I am sitting, so I sit on a heating pad. Good luck.
