I have one toe causing issues that my GP says is Raynaud's, but having suffered previously in my fingers, it feels like a very different issue to me. Does anyone else have the same thing?

One troublesome toe
Interesting you should question that as having a similar issue. I have had Raynaud's for 40+ years but the current swelling and redness of one big toe seems very different. Result of chilblains probably as this is common with Raynaud's. However I also have systemic sclerosis so mine could be related to that, waiting to see how it develops or repairs.
question…is this reaction after a Raynaud’s flare up? Is it hot or warm to touch??? Were any other toes going through same symptoms but recovered when Raynauds did???
I’ve had hyperactive Raynauds since age 12. My toes would look like that and a burning painful sensation followed until my feet recovered from the whole ordeal. Then age 19 my body went into a mega flare up of (inherited Erythromelalgia) IEM that has worsened with aging. I have great pics of flares on hands and feet in my old flip phone that can’t be transferred to my smartphone ( so I was told…truth be known my encounters with the youth of today in the USA if they see one gray hair or you obviously appear old to them you’re instantly crazy/dumb) now my whole feet and 1/3 rd of my lower legs get lobster red too. They radiate such heat which will be cyclical with RP Raynaud’s Phenomenon. One moment I’m freezing then followed by being on fire.
I hope and pray you never get this cyclical affliction…sometimes it’s really unbearable.
I hope you get an answer soon.

hi I’m a podiatrist by profession as well as having scleroderma and secondary raynauds. I’m afraid you haven’t really supplied sufficient information for anyone to give you a meaningful answer. What does it look like, how does it felel (especially if your certain it’s different from Raynauds), is it transient or permanent in nature and what is the duration? What seemed to trigger it? A photo would also be beneficial?
Most winters I get chilblains on both big toes which are common in Raynauds sufferers. It could be something like that especially if your GP says it’s related.
