Well the run I was doing to raise funds for SRUK was last week. Unfortunately I had to withdraw half way round as I got to a point where I was unable to swallow any food and could barely sip water.

Anyone got any advice on elemental food you can drink through a straw?

a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it’s really appreciated!

What a shame - I’m sorry - but very well done for at least undertaking this. I am totally non athletic but I do have mostly liquid, fortified diet. I’m prescribed Ensure Plus as a nutritional supplement. I only order coffee and vanilla flavours and I drink in decaf tea or coffee - usually hot but can be chilled too. I believe there are juice options such as Fortisips too but never tried these. My dietician says that lucozade sport is good as an electrolyte fix for when I’m dehydrated but so far I’ve stuck to my Ensure and manage about a bottle a day added to drinks as a milk alternative.

Well I think you did very well to do half! We are all grateful I’m sure for you raising the funds you did and anyone else who challenges themselves to raise funds for SRUK.

I don’t know much about the elemental diet I’m afraid but I see Old Ted gave you some good ideas. Hope you recover soon.
