was diagnosed maybe 20 years ago with Sjogrens. No treatment was needed other eye drops. Then I started having the dry mouth and dental issues. I currently taking 400mg daily of hydroxychloroquine. The medication has helped tremendously .

Thanks for sharing your experience, Juanburr1950. I've been experiencing very dry eyes for the last couple of years, and I think it might be Sjogrens, since I've had a Scleroderma diagnosis for the last 14 years and I understand that the conditions often overlap.
I wanted to ask you - has the hydroxychloroquine helped with the dry eyes as well as mouth? Also, do you suffer any side effects from the drug?
Yes, I would have to say that the dug is helping with my dry eyes. I have to drink water more because I’m very sensitive to the dry mouth. You have to keep your mouth moist so I chew gum and this really helps.
I definitely haven’t experienced anything negative about the medication. To me it’s like a miracle drug. I occasionally have flare ups when I push myself too much.
