I have been suffering with a sore and slightly acne looking type rash on my face. It started when I first started on mycophenolate about a year ago and my rheumatologist felt certain it was a reaction to the drug and took me off it. Although it did improve it still flares up from time to time especially if I am under the weather. Does anyone else suffer with this? If so do you have any advice and is there a foundation or concealer you can recommend as I hate the way I look sometimes.

Hi there. I'm on mycophenolate, ok so far but do have skin issues (masses of age spots etc, regularly checked by GP), despite wearing factor 50 all the time! There is a fabulous link called Changing Faces on the SRUK website - lots of makeup tips with Youtube videos. I think Estee Lauder do a 'camouflage' makeup or try any other full coverage foundation. Boots have a good range. Hope that helps.
I’ve been on mycophenolate for a few years now but haven’t experienced any rashes, so sorry, I don’t have advice about that. Sorry that you’re dealing with that though - it must be really frustrating.
However, I do have a lot of telangiectasias (red capillary spots) on my face and neck. I use Boots No. 7 Beautifully Matte foundation, which provides pretty good coverage. Their Stay Perfect foundation is also good. Then I use their Stay Perfect stick concealer to cover anything the foundation hasn’t completely disguised. A lot of the bigger Boots stores have an adviser who can advise on the best colour for your skin tone. You can normally get a small tester pot for free too, if you ask, if you want to try before you buy. And they often have 3 for 2 offers on.
I don’t work for Boots, by the way!😂 It’s just what I’ve found to work for me. And it makes me feel more confident. I’m sure other brands have good products too, so maybe go to a store that has a few advisers for different brands and see what you like. I hope you find something that makes you feel more confident.
