Preparations for going shopping:

Locate electric hand-warmers and make sure they're both fully charged.

Locate fleecy gloves and put on radiator to warm.

Don woolly socks, boots, winter coat, hat, scarf etc.

Turn hand warmers on and tuck one into each pocket.

Plunge hands into warm (not hot!) water for at least two minutes.

Dry carefully with soft towel.

Ease warmed gloves onto warm, dry hands.

Find shopping bags and leave house. Put gloved hands into warmed pockets as often as possible.

Use cards to pay for everything – can't risk fiddling with coins and cooling hands.

Get home, divest oneself of all outdoor stuff; if hands haven't quite coped plunge them into warm (not hot!!) water for another two minutes, till they change from white/purple to pinkish.

Resume indoor life with gratitude.

Happy winter days!

😘

Ha, that sounds like me, except for the water plunging. I love my hot water bottle. Keep warm.
