Does anyone have periods where it does not flare up & then just pops up with a vengeance? Mine has started that after months of nothing.

That's exactly what happens to me. Just woke up one morning after months of being relatively OK, still had usual GI stuff going on but more manageable than it had been...then wham pain in feet hands shoulder and for first time my neck. Breathlessness and racing heart. Luckily my gp saw me quite quickly and gave short course of prednisone 25mg for 5 days that stopped it in its tracks. Even managed a 3km slow jog and some gardening, which would have been unthinkable. J know it's not a long term solution but it gave me a real lift both physically and mentally. Worth asking your doc if not tried. Hope you can get it hndef control again Best wishes Keir
