I have been advised to have annual infusions of this drug to counteract my severe osteoporosis and I'm rather nervous about side effects – has anyone here had experience of it? I have limited systemic scleroderma and bronchiectasis.

Zolendronic acid
Hi,
I was very nervous too when my consultant arranged this infusion. The thought of acid running through my body gave me the jitters!
I have diffuse Systemic Sclerosis plus osteoporosis.
It was a doddle, a quick visit to the Renal Department at the hospital. It took around 40 minutes or less & it was done. No side effects & a very easy procedure given all the treatments I have had.
Trust your Consultant as they know your particular case & what's good for you.
I went on my own so didn't need help or support.
Good luck xxxx
Aaaaw, thank you! That's really encouraging. Let's both just hope it improves our DEXA scores and prevents any more breaks!
Hi Volvo, I’m also diagnosed with Limited Scleroderma and bronchietasis. I’ve had two infusion sessions already. The procedure itself is very easy, and had no side effects from the drug. I just had a Dexa scan and my numbers have improved! Hope it’ll work for you as well
