Possibly worse than acid reflux

Last year around this time I stayed up a whole night puking so bad that my throat bleed and eventually nothing but acid came up for a while I was scared to eat. For months prior to that I had severe pains in my stomach and sometimes my back. And once again I'm getting the pains again and sometime soon (if its how it was then) I'll be puking again. Right now I'm just nauseous and can't sleep because of it. According to my research it's acid reflux and I should probably see a doc to make sure it's nothing worse than just that.

I would suggest that you are right. See your doctor.

See a doctor and ask him to prescribe you Omeprazole (20 mg should be strong enough).

I have been taking it every day for 20 or so years. Started off with 10mgs and 5 years ago

dose increased to 20mg.

Always get acid reflux if ever stop taking it for just one day. It is an excellent standard

drug for this condition taken by millions!

Taking ppis will mask the symptoms for you but if you want to also address it from a deeper level look at what is going on dietarily. That may be of help to you.

Things that seem to help with me are eating less fat overall. Fats are in dairy products of course but also in animal products. To boost the level of veggies in your diet may allow you to reduce quantities of foods that will cause acid. But you need to also look at cooking methods. Using less oil will help.

Sugars and food that break down into sugar, ( high carbs) can also cause acid.

A couple of nights ago I was kept awake with acid. Whilst up I ate some melon and this allowed me to get some good rest when I returned to bed.

Google alkaline diet for some ideas.

The drugs will help but to really give informed consent for them read a bit about side effects of ppis. When that class of drug was first introduced people were only on them short term. But now they seem to just leave you on them and they can cause other problems over time.

Doing nothing is not really an option though.

Yes indeed be mighty careful with the PPI's .... I have me some nice stomach polop's now .... I am sure it was caused by them ...........

🚫🚫 HERE is Another warning !!! About PPI's ..., It is ⛔SERTOIN SYNDROME⛔ SERTOIN is in our Digestive Systems 🚫 if you are taking Antidepressants (which also work in our Digestive System) .... You have TOO be very careful With All SSRI's ..,MAOI's ..., PPI's ..., PAIN meds TOO .... You can slip into a comma.... And die ... Make sure your PC KNOWS about Everything you take including , supplements .....

DON'T Stop your Meds.... Just be sure your Doctor knows what you are taking....

But TOO do Nothing , is not a good Idea..... Stomach Acid can Truly cause harm to your upper GI and Burn the vocal cords .......

*****IJWTS , TOO PLEASE Do Not take Any MEDICATION ,then lay down, a friend of my daughter , was taking an Antibiotic an ended up with a HOLE , the size of a Quarter in her Esophagus!!! She had TOO have surgery too fix the hole... PLEASE Be Careful , make sure those meds, or food , get on DOWN*****

......... But on another note ...., now Y'all just give a good think..., ABOUT, ***Sleeping *sitting up*** ..........

(I can TELL Y'all it has been one of those Best things) for me.... An I have some BAD REFLUX !!!! TOO.... **My Esophagus really doesn't work** well at all .... From the last GI specialist he said :

""I am not going to repeat any of the Esophagual test, just TOO Tell you what you already know... **Gravity** is doing all the work for you. Now at some point you will need a *Feeding Port* placed in your abdomen. We will know the time has come *When you start chocking on liquids* ..., Which in turn will cause *PNEUMONIA* ..., When this starts TOO happen (after a few months time frame) then You come back and See Me.... I don't Believe in wasting anyone's time or money... "" He asked if I was sleeping with an evaluation Under the bed , of at least 6 ins. (About 2 house brick) under the head of the bead....

..... Now I sleep in a ****Recliner**** (I place a pillow just slightly under my buttocks, so I don't slide down .., if the recliner is Leather or slippery ..., (I slide on down a few times ) an a pillow Under my knees (for comport)........ ****A ****Hamock**** (I line it up with pillows..., An place one just under the edge of my Butt) YES they are VERY Comfortable 😉 and if you like, you can swing too sleep .....

*Just think many folks around the world sleep in a hamock ***NOT the FLAT*** ONE !!! THOSE will flip you ACCROSS The neighbors house!!! LOL 🙃***

And recently I got a ***Bed w/a remote Control***..., Yes it is nice..., TOO be able to raise..., To an UP RIGHT position .., but still the foot needs to be elevated to prevent (sliding) An of course my warm Electric blankets.....

***It dose take getting used too .., sleeping more upright*** but ONCE you get used too sleeping in the position..., I promise 💗💗💗 you will love it 🤗🤗🤗

Because your GI will be happier TOO...

An I Also try NOT to, drink or eat Anything for at least 2 Hour's before going to bed.....
