When i went back to the hospital for them to check my feet.. i noticed that from half way down my lower legs and feet where blue/purple .. he said 'oh thats ok you ve got raynauds and it would go in 12mths.. Well that was four years ago now and i have serve primary raynauds and am purple all over most of the time ( well apart from my torso)... I think that having the op is the reason i ve got this but they never said this would happen.. also four years before this op i had the tendunts cut in those toes and i didn t have this.. mind you it was a different hospital...
I need some advice .I never had rayna... - Scleroderma & Ray...
I need some advice .I never had raynauds before i had my opperation on both feet to straighten my toes..
I don't think the surgery caused Raynauds although it could have impaired the rcovery with the lack of circulation. i had that with surgery on my toe, it just took longer to heal. Raynauds is not a temporary thing..it usually stays a lifeitime, getting better and worse at times.Just shows how uneducated some doctors can be. Take things for circulation like ginko, fish oils, and there alot of drugs out there to help but go to a rheumatologist(sp) and start there.
Your op and your Raynaud's may not be related at all. But you need to look after your Raynaud's, that's important. See a GP who knows and understand Raynaud's if you can. Be referred to a rheumatologist. Don't neglect your Raynaud's it is asking for complications.
