Heartburn got worse Then suddenly this limp feeling began. Prior to that muscles in throat were painful and achy on swallowing and had been getting food stuck in throat abs choking on saliva Von occasions. Now feel the discomfort in my chest more. Burping has increased too. On omeprazole and rinitadinen to help me. Not made a huge difference. Any recommendations on what I can do to shift this. I’m sleeping propped up but feeling v fed up with it. Whole body aching too especially shoulders and hips. CK levels 1000 last week. Just struggling abd could do with some tips. Diagnosed overlap mctd. Be good to hear from some of you. Take care all xxxxx

I don't have any advice but this has started happening to me too. About 2 weeks ago the noises in my oesophagus increased considerably and I felt like there was a lump in my throat that makes me feel uncomfortable when I have my head in certain positions, especially when lying down. I have upped my doses of lansoprazole and ranitidine as I had previously reduced my doses. I am concerned that the collagen build up has moved further up into my throat having not really had any change in my condition for about 3 years. I also have multiple joint aches but think this might be caused by operation to shoulder to remove calcification and complications following this plus my joints are all calcified, particularly right hip so don't feel these aches are linked to new lump in throat. Sorry I can't help but if anyone can I would also be grateful. I might phone my scleroderma nurse later in the week to ask for advice so will come back to you on this.

Check with your doctor on my suggestions. I couldn't take the RX omeprazole. It would make my stomach feel as if it was "foaming". I try to avoid acidic foods, drink only water and teas (cut out sugar). I also take Digestive Advantage Probiotic gummies daily. My doctor suggested SchweppesTonic water for muscles cramps and aches (it is very bitter, 2 to 3 ounces daily)

ranitadine has a cancer causing agent in it be careful my doctors said do not take it. try mint tea, ginger. i hope you do not have any titanium implants if you do have them removed at once. for any one not believing that titanium can make you sick with scleroderma go on line and read TITANIUM DISKS ARE TOXIC start reading.
