New to this. I had bloods done last year positive for ANA, consultant said nothing to worry about and go back in 1 year. On speaking to the nurse taking my bloods this year she said I'd a strong positive result last year. I asked which titer level and been told its 1:2560 but no further testing required as I have no symptoms and if I find my fingers cold obviously reynauds to go to my gp. No yearly blood test required as they don't know if or when I'll show symptoms. Discharged from rheumatology.

I don't know if these things could be related but I'm always cold although not in my fingers. Constantly fatigued and have episodes of brain fog. Hair loss and regularly anaemic.

So confused

What I take from this is you have a positive ANA and suffering symptoms. Ask your GP for a referral to a different rheumatologist for a second opinion. The first one was wrong.

I would ask your GP to refer you to another rheumatologist one who specialises in Sclorederma..for a second opinion

I agree with the other replies..seek a second opinion!! U might have been without symptoms last year but with an ANA reading like yours further testing should have been done!!

This is all new to u n it's very confusing so being on healthunlocked will help u to gather information n gain greater understanding!!

Another thing I'll mention is that u might benefit from joining another part of the forum...Lupus UK..it's very informative n u can find out more information on the blood tests!! With lupus a positive ANA result is usually followed with a ds-DNA blood test which gives a definitive diagnosis which is why I'm saying that your bloods should have been tested further. Many people with lupus have Raynaud's n it might be worth u checking it out!! Even if u just post again on lupusuk this same post..I'm sure u will get a few responses.

See u there maybe xx
