Send Us Your Raynaud's Story for Raynaud's Awareness Month in February
Had Raynaud's for many years, don't take any medication for this condition. I have over the years tried to treat this in a way that works for me. I wear a thin pair of gloves inside warm mittens. I have a hand warmer for very cold days or when I am exposed to the cold for any length of time.
I am 75 and had Raynaud's for as long as I can remember (playing snowballs as a kid was sooooo painful!) I take no medication for it. One of the worst places for me is the supermarket after stepping out from a warm car. I make sure that I always put on my warmest coat and I wear a hat and gloves especially in the supermarket.
Another area where I suffer is in the gym (I attend a heart club) where Raynaud's kicks in a soon as I walk into the air-conditioned gym from the lounge area. Again I wear a tracksuit top until I fully warm up and take hand warmers on the worst days.
