Hey guys ! Quick question. I have cold nothing unusual but it's the first cold I have had in a couple of years. I feel like it's totally wiping me out ! Just so tired even though I don't feel particularly unwell..... is this normal ?

Hi Sylviaherring, I think its because we are on immune suppressants, we take a lot longer to recover from any ailment, that in the past when we didnt have Ssc we were able to take it in our stride. Oppurtunity to watch a favourite programme or dvd! Stay warm and take care.

Sylviaherring,

I too have Ssc and when I get a cold I’m totally wiped out, the last cold at Christmas took about 8 weeks to get rid of but it was so cold weatherwise I think that hindered me too. As fairy56 says it’s cos we are on immune suppressants, try and take it in your stride, drink plenty of liquids, rest and keep warm.

Hi ladies. Thanks for the replies. I am currently not on any drugs other than proton inhibitors and nifipene. I did however run 19 miles on Saturday afternoon so maybe just that !
