I'm going to see potential places for suitability in Birmingham city centre this Friday 16th March 2018. I'm looking at either the Dragon inn (weatherspoons), just by Birmingham Hippodrome or the Railway, just by the new grand central station. I could do with finding out if folks are still interested in meeting up as there was someone saying there's a group but heard nothing more. I'd encourage partners/husbands/wives or a friend to come along with you, if you anything like me (anxious/ worrier/easily stressed) it'll take the stress and worry away a little I think. These are the 2 sites I'm looking at so you can have a hot drink or cold, soft or alcoholic and have a bite to eat if you want. Your thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated and also if you know anywhere else I can look at. Thanks for reading.

Trying to set up a face to face group meetings in Birmingham
I dont know Birmingham at all and would come into the station by train so somewhere easy to find near there would be good. However I do have a very busy April and May so may not be able to attend. We are moving house and then I have numerous days in London over those 2 months. Keep in touch xx
Hi Mylreaclairelee, Will keep you posted as to dates and venues. The railway is literally opposite one of the grand central entrances, but again will find a venue that is easy to find. If we don't speak before you move, good luck and hope all goes as planned and smoothly for you. Watch this space for now to see updates on dates etc.
I’m interested in meeting up - anywhere near Grand Central station would be great as I don’t know Birmingham well.
I work so would be limited to when I could meet though.
Good luck on Friday x
Hi
I’m still interested but I would have to book leave from work if it was a weekday plus come on my own which would be a bit daunting but I would give it a go (I don’t know Birmingham well). A venue near the station would be good. And to be completely awkward, there might be times where work comes first so I could only dip in and out depending on the day/date. I would make all efforts to come if I can work around stuff 🤗
Hi Jen3131. I know what you mean about daunting but I'm hoping to make it as stress free as possible. I would say to make it for a weekend but I think Birmingham might be too busy with shoppers etc, but never say never. I'll see what happens Friday but so far we have 2 possibly 3 people to come (including you). Could do with drumming up a bit more support lol
Hi Folks, after seeing a couple of places yesterday (Friday), I think I've found somewhere that is quiet enough to speak/chat and be heard but busy enough to just sit and look at the world passing by outside (if you don't want to talk etc). It's the Railway, Savoy Buildings, Hill Street, Birmingham B5 4AN. It's cheap so ignore the expensive sounding building name. It's situated just outside one of the entrance/exit points of Grand Central train Station. It's now a question of who wants to come and when. If you want to throw some dates and time scales and we can all get a plan together.
